How To Tie A Blanket Scarf

How to tie a blanket scarf
First of all, Merry Christmas Eve! Second, I apologize because these aren’t the best photos ever (I literally had my brother snap them outside my garage a few days ago) but true life: this is how I tie my blanket scarf! I love wearing this scarf because for one, it really is a blanket, and who doesn’t want to be wrapped up cozy in a blanket all day?!

Blanket Scarf Tutorial:
1. Start out with the scarf completely unfolded (picture one).
2. Taking two opposite sides, fold it in half to create a triangle (picture two).
3. Wrap the scarf around your neck with the point facing down. Pull the ends to tighten the scarf around your neck (picture three).
4. Tuck in the ends of the scarf so that they aren’t visible (picture four). You may have to mess with it and arrange the scarf until your desired look is achieved!

I will say that this method works best with a SQUARE blanket scarf as opposed to a rectangular one, because I start out by folding the square from corner to corner so that it creates a triangle. However, this look is still possible to achieve with a rectangular scarf, you just have to drape it so that it looks like triangle (it’s very hard to explain, but it is possible haha!).
Merry Christmas Eve to you all! I am finishing up making some Oreo balls this morning and then headed to my grandparents’ house this afternoon to spend the evening with my family, aunt and uncle and cousins. We eat hors d’oeuvres and lots of sweets, drink my papa’s apple cider and exchange family presents… it’s one of my favorite Christmas Eve traditions! What are y’all doing tonight?

  4. Love this! I love finding new ways to wear my blanket scarf. Sometimes I wrap it up to look like an infinity scarf, and sometimes I'll even leave it hanging long to cover the entirely of my upper body πŸ™‚
