Hello friends!
I’m writing to you from my new apartment – yippee!
I can’t even tell you how much I LOVE having my own place. I moved in Friday, and even though I literally don’t have any furniture for it yet, I’m so happy here. It’s a bright little one bedroom apartment with tons of character.

Since I’ve been all about decorating since I moved in, I thought I’d share a sneak peek of some recent buys with you all.
I have been lusting over starburst mirrors for a while now, so I almost couldn’ believe it when I found {this mirror} at Home Depot for only $35! It’s now hanging over my bed… (I would show you, but I don’t have a comforter for my bed yet!)
I picked up {this chevron ginger jar} from Target. It’s part of the Nate Berkus home collection (which I’m seriously loving). I can’t wait to have a coffee table to put this on!

This was taken today in my new bedroom. As you can see, I don’t have a comforter for my bed yet, and I still need to paint some of my furniture. It’s definitely a work in progress.

I know how excited you are to be in your new apartment. I felt the same way when I moved out of my parent’s house, it’s a totally different kind of freedom! Anyway, your decors are wonderful. I can’t wait to see the overall look of your apartment once you’re done decorating.
I think you’ve bought some really interesting pieces that are bound to become great conversation pieces. I love how you mixed classic design with modern styles. That choice of jar, for example, has a very antique shape, but the black and white striping brings it forward into more contemporary times. The sun mirror is also a favorite and looks best against bright white walls. Do you have any pictures of your fully-decorated apartment?
