What to Buy from the Nordstrom Sale

So… Nordstrom just announced an incredible sale. Like, even bigger than the freakin’ Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They’re offering 25% off their entire website, which is totally unprecedented! I wanted to round up my favorite items from the sale so that you can snag them ASAP.

Pink joggers

Since a lot of us will be working from home for the foreseeable future, it’s the perfect time to stock up on comfy lounge clothes on sale. I ordered these pink joggers for myself – they’re SO CUTE and look super cozy.

Adidas Swift Sneakers

For the past year, the Adidas Swift sneakers have been my GO TO for working out, whether it’s a long run outside or an at-home workout. They’re lightweight and comfortable and I didn’t even have to “break them in” – they were comfy right from the get go.

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick

If you take a look at all my photos lately, there’s a 90% chance I’m wearing Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in “pillow talk.” It’s a universally flattering shade, not to pink but not too nude – a really nice classic, everyday color. I want to stock up on it while they’re 25% off!

Lace Dress

I own this lace midi dress in several colors (check out this blog post and this one) and it’s hands-down my favorite dress for spring. I’ve worn it to weddings, baby showers, even my own bridal shower, haha! The price is just too good to pass up, so definitely snag it now – I promise you’ll wear it all spring and summer!

Hanky Panky underwear

You can never have enough undies (time to get rid of those ones you’ve had since college!), and Hanky Panky is THE ONLY underwear brand I wear. I’m serious! They’re so comfortable and even though it’s a thong, you can’t even feel it when you’re wearing it. They’re pretty expensive, though, so my advice is to go for the 5-pack rather than buying them individually.

T3 Curling Wand Set

Alright, alright… you’ve heard me talk about this curling wand enough so I won’t get into too much detail. But it is 25% off right now… just sayin’! (Along with all of their hair dryers, too!).

Hydroflask Water Bottle

These Hydroflask water bottles are alllll the rage right now, and it’s a great time to purchase and test it out! I’m trying to keep the habit of drinking water all day long, and having a nice water bottle by your side really helps.

Silk pillowcase

Chris and I both use these silk pillowcases every single night. I even bring an extra one with me when I travel because I love it THAT MUCH. Normal pillowcases feel so scratchy to me now! I’ve talked about these before, but the silk fibers are extra gentle on your eyelashes and skin, they prevent you from waking up with “sleep wrinkles,” and they even help your skin products stay on your face while you sleep!

UGG slippers

Working from home is 50x better with these UGG slippers – they’re super comfortable and can take you from taking the dog out to making breakfast to working from your home computer all day. I have them in the chestnut color!

Fuzzy robe

Another item you need if you’re going to be staying home for a while: a comfy robe! This terry robe is so cute (love the pink) and is great post-shower or to get cozy at night.

Tory Burch handbags

I’m having a hard time believing that ALL Tory Burch bags are currently on sale, but hey! That’s amazing, and now is definitely the time to get one if you need a new spring or summer bag. They currently have some really great bags for work, including this one that will fit a laptop.

Tory Burch Miller sandals

I don’t know if I’ve EVER seen Tory Burch Miller sandals go on sale before… even when TB has their annual spring sale, the Millers are always excluded from the sale! I still have my pair of Millers from FOUR years ago and they’re still in awesome condition. The great thing about these is that they’re so well made, they will last you years and years. I tend to like the neutral colors since they pair with any outfit!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! Love to you all. <3

Please understand that most people are concerned with losing their jobs right now. We are all well aware that Nordstrom is having a huge sale because they are struggling to hit their revenue targets in this trying time. Unfortunately your job will suffer at this moment because most people with a brain are not spending money frivolously. Stop trying to convince people to spend their own money in order for you to make ridiculous amounts. People are struggling right now. Have some empathy.

    • I completely understand and have empathy for those people who have lost their jobs or have reduced working hours right now. I feel like I’m walking a tightrope trying not to make anyone upset. I had a lot of emails/DMs saying that people want me to continue posting like normal because it’s a “distraction” from real life. I also had a lot of requests for my picks from the Nordstrom sale. I really am not trying to offend anyone, it is just really hard to make everyone happy right now. :/

Caitlin, that was a very nice response. It’s definitely a hard tightrope to walk, but I look at it as: this is your job, and I don’t think people should feel bad about doing their jobs if they’re in an industry that’s able to continue to work. Of course have empathy, but no one should get mad at Nordstrom for having a sale, and no one should be mad at a blogger for talking about it.
Just thought you should know there are people out there that appreciate you and don’t fault you.

I think during times like these, we need to act based on our values and not what we think people want from us. If we do that, we will know we are being true to ourselves and not just trying to make other people happy (which will never work anyway.)

Caitlin- I think you handled this so well. I went to your site this morning to read something positive and to see if I could distract myself and buy something for when things get better. Yes, people are struggling right now, but you have to keep doing your job. You provide FREE content and if someone doesn’t like it, or doesn’t want to read it, they don’t have to. This is a time for lifting people up, not for criticism.

Anyone who has spent time reading your content over the years can tell you have empathy and an understanding that not everyone can afford something from Nordstrom. That’s why you often post similar items that can be purchased for cheaper prices.

So thanks for the content and I hope you stay healthy and well during the tough times!

Thanks for rounding up such great and essential products. May I ask how you wash the Slip pillow cases? I mean machine or hand wash?
Hope you’re feeling better. Stay safe!!

I clicked on some of the items and they don’t show a sale price. I thought everything was 25% off.

Hello Caitlin!! I’m thinking about buying the T3 Curling Wand, but I’ve seen that you can buy it separately, the power base and one barrel. I’ve seen that you only use the first one ( 1″ straight barrel for uniform spiral curls) so I think that is enough to buy only one barrel. Don’t you? And other question, is the barrel made of ceramic? I have the GHD curve, but it damages my hair a lot! Thank you so so much, I wait for your answer and sorry for my english!

    7.27.20Reply
    • Yes that’s what I use!! I think you only really need one barrel. I only use that one. Yes it is ceramic! I have mine set to the second highest setting so that it’s not as damaging, but you can always turn the heat down even more! I think ALL curling wands/irons are probably damaging to some extent, but I have been using the T3 for six years now and my hair is fine 🙂

Thank you!! Well I probably think that your hair it’s fine becouse you use good products, like CAVIAR shampoo and AVEDA damage remedy before using the curling wand… maybe I should try those products and combine them all!
