The Best Suede Jacket for Fall

The older I get, the more I appreciate high-quality pieces that stay in your closet for years. I guess I’ve witnessed too many Forever 21 pieces disintegrate in the washing machine (lol – true story – but I still do love F21!). This BlankNYC suede jacket is a CLASSIC that I absolutely love – it’s an investment piece that I know I’ll be wearing for years to come! Just think of all the outfits you can pair it with – a little black dress, an ivory sweater dress, white jeans, blue jeans, black pants…. and the list goes on. I really love how it looks with a pair of jeans and snakeskin booties!

We are still in Highlands and it has cooled down even more here than when we first arrived! Yesterday I think the town was in a big cloud all day – it was sooo misty and foggy we could barely see twenty feet ahead while walking on the street! It’s the perfect weather for curling up by the fire and reading a book all day. If you have read any good thrillers lately, I’d love to hear! I just finished a good one but I really need to read one more before I’ll have enough for a book review ๐Ÿ™‚

xoxo

  1. I do love that jacket! I found one last fall at Old Navy that looks similar, but it’s burgundy. I live in it.

  2. I got that jacket too and I love it!!! When I wore it to work, I had a colleague tell me she liked it so much, it was distracting her!! LOL. And it looks AMAZING on you! Thank you for styling it – I was wondering how you would choose to wear it.

As for books, the last thriller I read was Girl Last Seen.
But currently, I am reading Mark Twain’s travel diary from 1867 titled The Innocents Abroad. If you have never read it, you should! He goes all over Europe (probably places you have been yourself!) and to the Middle East. He is so wry and sarcastic, it cracks me up. And some of the ways he describes Americans sounds like he is writing in the 21st century!

Anyway, thanks for always being the beautiful herald of fall (and every other season, honestly).

  8. Try any of Dorothy Koomson’s books. They’re probably not officially thrillers, but they all have a mystery and massive twist to them and they’re all really good reads.
