Smooth as Silk

They say not to wear white after Labor Day – but I don’t pay attention to that silly little rule! I happen to love white… white pants, shorts, and especially this white tie neck silk shirt. To me, wearing white really exudes confidence and makes a statement, kind of like this gorgeous top! It’s made of pure, smooth silk. The bow is removable, and it looks pretty without it, too, because you can see the gorgeous gold buttons. I would wear the top with these silk shorts for now, but pair it with pants or a skirt in the fall. You could also layer a cardigan or sweater on top – I love that look with the bow showing! And if you REALLY want to make a statement, try pairing it with white pants for an all-white look.

If you’re in need of anything silk, definitely visit Lilysilk’s website. Almost everything on their website is made of pure silk, including their famous silk pillowcases. Lilysilk uses only the finest long fiber mulberry silk (Grade 6A) to make their products, and you can really tell – it’s the softest silk I’ve ever touched! Their products are also clean and toxin-free, and are OEKO-TEX Certified.

  1. I’ve heard sooo much about Lilysilk and I have to say, I am definitely intrigued by their products! This whole outfit looks gorgeous and so much more expensive, than their pieces actually are!

I love wearing white anytime of the year. I wore a little summerly white dress with red high heel sandals last weekend for my girlfriends birthday party. Don’t know where the silly no white after labor day rule started from.
