All Dressed Up with Nowhere To Go

Good gosh, can you guys believe it’s already Thursday? This week is really flying by, it seems like the weekend was just yesterday! Something that has really helped keep me motivated and differentiate the days from each is other is continuing to get dressed every day. Heck, some days I even dress up for no reason! I find that the days I stay in pajamas or sweatpants all day, my mental health suffers. But forcing myself to put on makeup and dress in a cute outfit helps me power through the day and also just “feel” like myself.

This cute little dress and matching bow might be considered a little fancy, but wearing it reminded me that normal days are coming. We will all go out to restaurants, parties and social gatherings again. And I can’t wait to hug my family and all of my friends!

If you follow me on Instagram, I shared yesterday that my mom and I are going to bake lemon cookies via video chat on Saturday. If you want to join along with us, I posted all the ingredients you’ll need over on my Instastories. I’ll post the recipe on Saturday and we can all make them together! These are my FAVORITE cookies that my mom made when I was growing up… I’ve never actually made them myself, but my mom says the recipe is incredibly easy. I hope you all join us!

xoxo

  2. Yes to getting dressed everyday! It makes me feel so much more productive. One thing I am missing is getting “dressed up” a bit more since it feels silly to do that just to be working from home, but you’ve inspired me to just do it. Might as well enjoy those clothes!

Do you know what time you’ll be doing the bake-along? I’d love to join!
