Retro in Palm Beach

Hello and happy Friday, you guys! I got back last night from a super quick trip to one of my favorite places: Palm Beach. Not only is Palm Beach beautiful (and ritzy), but it always gives me serious 70s vibes! I couldn’t help but bring along my cat eye sunglasses for the trip. And if you’re looking for an affordable dress to transition into spring, you have to give this one from Walmart a try. I seriously can’t believe it’s only $20 – it’s made of a thick, high-quality fabric and it FEELS like a designer dress! The tie-waist detail is very figure-flattering. You can check here to see all of the new spring arrivals on Walmart’s site.

Even though I had a great time in Florida, I am very happy and a little bit relieved to be back home. All of the talk about the coronavirus (COVID-19) has started to freak me out. I’m not necessarily worried about myself (I think I have a strong immune system), but I’m worried about potentially transmitting it to my parents, grandmother, and others in my life. I’ve been taking a lot of extra precautions lately, especially this past week while flying (hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes are currently my BFF), and for the time being I have canceled some upcoming trips to stay home with my husband instead. I will still be posting Palm Beach pictures over the next couple of weeks, but please know that I’m not encouraging anyone to travel right now. If you can stay home (or even work from home!) then I highly encourage you to do so. Let’s all look out for each other, guys!!!!

xoxo

  1. What a gorgeous outfit! I was wondering how all of the coronavirus stuff would impact your schedule and other travel bloggers. Glad you will be staying home! I had to postpone a trip with my dad for his 60th birthday, but we know it was the right decision πŸ™

  3. This dress is so cute!! Glad to hear you are taking precautions. Most people don’t realize that even though the majority will be okay, but we can still put others at risk!

  4. Such a lovely wrap dress! I actually spotted it yesterday (while on a mad dash to find toilet paper) and thought about picking it up. Seeing it on you — now I think I will. Looks so adorable!! Stay safe girl. I’m glad you are choosing not to travel anywhere soon. We can all protect ourselves best by staying put!

Such cuteness and the dress is gorgeous in both blue and stripes. So glad you are home and not traveling. We cancelled a trip to Maryland and Texas for Easter. Better safe than very sorry.

” but please know that I’m not encouraging anyone to travel right now. If you can stay home (or even work from home!) then I highly encourage you to do so. Let’s all look out for each other, guys!!!!”– so true.
Let’s all look out for each other. Part of that is if a person is feeling a little run down. REST stay at home this is not the time to “take a cold pill & keep on going”.

I love the tie waist on this dress! They key to finding dresses that flatter your shape always starts with a tie waist.
