Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Shoe Guide

Good morning! I wanted to get my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shoe guide up as soon as possible, since many of you are able to shop the sale starting tomorrow (woohoo!). There were a LOT of options this year when it came to shoes… I’m sharing the ones I ended up taking home + my honest review of each (including a pair of booties that I would not buy). Read on for my reviews!

Marc Fisher Oshay Pointed Toe Bootie in “Cognac Suede”

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Review: I LOVE the rich cognac color of these suede booties! They have a pointed toe, block heel and come up a little bit taller around your ankle, so you either have to cuff your pant leg or tuck them into the opening of the booties. You can also wear them with shorts and dresses.
  • Price: Originally $189.95, marked down to $99.90

Vince Camuto Gradina Block Heel Bootie in “Tortilla Suede”

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Review: These suede booties are an updated version of last year’s best-selling booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I personally like last year’s version better, but I bought these in order to test them out! My honest opinion: If you’re only going to get one pair of booties from the sale this year, I would buy a different pair. The side slit is at an awkward angle and rubs my ankle bone, plus I think these have a little too much going on aesthetically.
  • Price: Originally $149.95, marked down to $99.90

Steve Madden Kaylah Pointed Toe Bootie in “Taupe Suede”

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Review: These are my favorite booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. I bought them in two colors (the second is below), and am contemplating a third! They’re extremely well-made, and I love the ankle-flattering slit in the side (and unlike the Vince Camuto ones, these don’t rub my ankle the wrong way!).
  • Price: Originally $134.95, marked down to $89.90

Steve Madden Kaylah Pointed Toe Bootie in “Light Beige Snake Print”

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Review: I don’t think there could be a more perfect snake print! I love that these are a light color, and the snake print is subtle enough to pass as a neutral (they make a subtle statement but not too much of a statement, haha). I have been pleasantly surprised to find that these go with so many different outfits. I absolutely love them!
  • Price: Originally $134.95, marked down to $89.90

Steve Madden Nadalie Pointed Toe Bootie in “Light Bone Croco”

  • Sizing: TTS. Wearing a size 7.
  • Review: I have really been wanting a pair of white booties – they were just starting to come into popularity last fall and now they’re here to stay! This particular pair has a very subtle crocodile print and a block heel, and are incredibly well made.
  • Price: Originally $119.95, marked down to $79.90

Vince Camuto Derika Leather Boot in “Tortilla Suede”

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Review: I LOVE THESE BOOTS! They were the only tall boots I bought from the sale and I also got them in black. They’re slightly slouched and made of a buttery soft suede, with a leg-flattering pointed toe.
  • Price: Originally $239.95, marked down to $149.90

Vince Camuto Derika Leather Boot in “Black Suede”

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Review: These are the same boots as above, but in the black. I love them with dresses, jeans and especially with Spanx faux leather leggings and an oversized sweater.
  • Price: Originally $239.95, marked down to $149.90

Steve Madden Forever Chain Pointed Toe Mule

  • Sizing: These run a half size small.
  • Review: I’m OBSESSED with these, if you can’t tell, because I got them in three different colors! They’re the perfect mules… cute and comfortable. I walked around in one pair for an hour yesterday to make sure they didn’t rub or hurt (they didn’t). The gold chain is a really nice addition and makes these look WAY more expensive than they are!
  • Price: Originally $89.95, marked down to $49.90

Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into reviewing in detail! I was on the fence between the Marc Fisher bootie and the new Vince camuto. I was thinking I might not like the extra height on the MF but it’s so good to know that the angle of the VC hits the ankle wrong. I will definitely be getting the MF pair and most likely the Steve Madden as well. Who can say no to booties on sale?!

THANK YOU. This was so helpful to get a good side view of the shoes (I feel like no one does this ON, just holding it) and also loved your comments. I am looking at investing in one pair of neutral ankle boots and I’ve already narrowed it down thanks to this post. I’ve heard mixed views of sizing on the Kaylah – so hopefully the size I order works!

I wish I could get them all! Thank you for the review on the Vince Camuto Gradina bootie. I did buy last year’s version, but I was wondering if this year’s version would be better. So happy I snagged last year’s version now. And thank you for all the work you put into this sale every year! You are my go-to girl when it comes to the Nordy sale! I end up getting and loving so much of what you share and am so happy we’re able to give you credit for all the hard work you do. Thank you so much for also sharing so much detail on each piece. It makes it so much easier to shop knowing someone has tried them on and given an honest review. I can’t wait to order some of your picks! You have impeccable taste and style! If I could raid anyone’s closet it would be yours! HA!

Would you say the MF booties are truer color in your photo than the website? I was loving the richer warmer brown on the Nordstrom site but here they look more similar in color to the VC tortilla suede (& I have last year’s version too & love them so don’t really want two booties in very similar colors!)

Hi Caitlin! I have a small frame just like you. I always have issues with gapping in the calf area when I am shopping for tall boots. They seemed loose on you in the pictures, but I was wondering if in person they look too oversized. Does the slouch style of the boot make the calf gap look more natural?
