Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide 2021

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is HERE! Every year, the pieces that I buy during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are the pieces I end up wearing all fall and winter long. I end up wearing these pieces to death, because not only are they discounted prices (which means you save money!), but they’re high quality items from brands you trust. This year, I was really pleased with the new items and the variety of styles. If you have any question at all about any of the items I bought, please let me know in the comments! I will be responding to comments and questions there.

And if you can’t shop just yet, that’s okay! You can save everything to your Wish List, and then easily add all of the items from your Wish List to your cart when it’s your time to shop. If you’re confused when you can shop, this blog post explains it all.

My sizing and height for reference:

I often get asked my height and normal size to help you decide what size to order. I normally wear a size XS/S and a 25 in denim. If I say something is “TTS,” that means “true-to-size” and means that I just got my usual size. As for height, I am 5’3 and a half (that extra half inch matters! 😉 )

Without further ado… here are my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks!

Free People Swim Too Deep Turtleneck Sweater

  • Sizing: If you want to wear it as a dress, size up two sizes. I’m wearing a M.
  • Quality: This sweater offers the same thickness and quality that I love from Free People. It’s REALLY thick (and soft!) and would keep you warm in the winter months, especially paired with leggings. The camel color is a rich, multi-dimensional color and so pretty in person. If you get your normal size, it will fit more like a top rather than a dress. This was one of my favorite purchases from the sale this year!
  • Price: Originally $128.00, marked down to $79.90

Nordstrom Floppy Wool Felt Panama Hat in Camel Light

  • Sizing: One size (adjustable).
  • Quality: This is by far my favorite hat from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It somehow managed to go with almost every single outfit I bought, and I had to force myself not to wear it with every outfit. It’s a beautiful light camel color with a cream-colored ribbon.
  • Price: Originally $39.00, marked down to $25.90

Sam Edelman Olly Knee High Boot in Sesame

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Quality: I actually only bought one pair of booties from the sale this year… and the rest were tall boots, including this pair by Sam Edelman. The color of these is really a standout – they are the perfect light camel color and they’re incredibly high-quality, the suede is buttery soft to the touch. The only downside of these is you will have to buy a suede protector, since the color is pretty light, I’d be scared that they would get scuffed up or stained from excessive wear. However, they are WORTH IT! The squared-off toe is very on-trend, as is the wooden block heel.
  • Price: Originally $225.00, marked down to $149.90

Vince Camuto Rib Mock Neck Shell

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: I love this mock neck shell and found that it went with so many different items from the sale, from denim to skirts! It would be easy to layer it with a cardigan in the fall, but it’s appropriate for summer, too. Even though it’s white in color, it’s not see-through at all. I was seriously impressed with this one!
  • Price: Originally $49.00, marked down to $29.90

Levi’s 501 Distressed Crop Jeans

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 25×26.
  • Quality: I’m SO pumped y’all, because this is the first pair of “mom jeans” I’ve tried on that I really love! The wash is a perfect light blue and there’s slight distressing over the right kneecap. I love that they’re not TOO baggy and they’re actually figure-flattering (which is hard to find in a pair of mom jeans!). The price is pretty great, too, at less than $70. They look great with both booties and tennis shoes.
  • Price: Originally $98.00, marked down to $64.90

Vince Camuto Welland Bootie in Tortilla Suede

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Quality: The only pair of booties I bought from the sale this year, and I LOVE them! They are extremely comfortable, come up high enough on your ankle to wear with both trendy cropped jeans and mom jeans, and they are the PERFECT color. You’ll see this pair of booties over and over again throughout this blog post, as they truly went with every single outfit!
  • Price: Originally $150.00, marked down to $99.90

Nordstrom Floppy Wool Felt Panama Hat in Camel Light

  • Sizing: One size (adjustable).
  • Quality: This is by far my favorite hat from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It somehow managed to go with almost every single outfit I bought, and I had to force myself not to wear it with every outfit. It’s a beautiful light camel color with a cream-colored ribbon.
  • Price: Originally $39.00, marked down to $25.90

BP. Fitted Slit Long Sleeve Rib Dress

  • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS. Size up one for a looser fit.
  • Quality: This is your perfect everyday, casual dress. It’s made of a really soft ribbed material, and the little slit at the bottom adds a feminine touch. It looks good with booties and a wool hat, or with tennis shoes and a baseball cap! It’s not see-through at all, but it is a little form-fitting – if you want a looser fit, size up one.
  • Price: Originally $46.00, marked down to $25.90

Nordstrom Floppy Wool Felt Panama Hat in Camel Light

  • Sizing: One size (adjustable).
  • Quality: This is by far my favorite hat from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It somehow managed to go with almost every single outfit I bought, and I had to force myself not to wear it with every outfit. It’s a beautiful light camel color with a cream-colored ribbon.
  • Price: Originally $39.00, marked down to $25.90

Vince Camuto Welland Bootie in Tortilla Suede

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Quality: Can you guys BELIEVE that this was the only pair of booties I bought from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year? Usually I walk away with at least a few pairs that I wear all of fall and winter, but I was not super impressed with the booties in person this year! However, I do love this pair. And I mean love. They are extremely comfortable, come up high enough on your ankle to wear with both trendy cropped jeans and mom jeans, and they are the PERFECT color. The other tan booties from the sale had a green cast to them in person, while these were perfectly neutral. You’ll see this pair of booties over and over again throughout this blog post, as they truly went with every single outfit!
  • Price: Originally $150.00, marked down to $99.90

BLANKNYC Marled Crop Open Front Cardigan

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a XS.
  • Quality: I had to buy this marled cardigan in both colors, it’s THAT good! Both colors are multi-dimensional and have thousands of different shades of either gray or camel. It’s really soft and thick and would keep you warm in the winter months, especially with a long-sleeve shirt underneath. Keep in mind that it is cropped, which I happen to like, but it does not cover your butt in the back!
  • Price: Originally $98.00, marked down to $59.90

Vero Moda Lena Stretch Organic Cotton Lace Cami in Snow White

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: This white tank is incredibly high-quality – it’s a true, crisp white and is not see-through at all. I thought it looked really cute when paired with some of the cardigans from the sale!
  • Price: $29.00 (My Nordstrom had this marked as a Nsale item, but it does not appear to be a part of the sale online)

Good American Good Waist Crop Skinny Jeans

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 2.
  • Quality: These jeans are probably my favorite denim purchase from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year because of their versatility! I found myself reaching for them over and over again when styling outfits – I actually had to force myself to wear some of the other jeans I bought. The dark wash is a little dressier than most pairs of jeans and I like that these have no distressing whatsoever. They fit like a DREAM, hugging in all the right places while still feeling comfortable. They are slightly cropped, so I prefer these with ankle boots or knee-high boots rather than mules or tennis shoes.
  • Price: Originally $159.00, marked down to $94.90

Vince Camuto Welland Bootie in Tortilla Suede

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Quality: The only pair of booties I bought from the sale this year, and I LOVE them! They are extremely comfortable, come up high enough on your ankle to wear with both trendy cropped jeans and mom jeans, and they are the PERFECT color. You’ll see this pair of booties over and over again throughout this blog post, as they truly went with every single outfit!
  • Price: Originally $150.00, marked down to $99.90

BLANKNYC Plaid Shirt Jacket

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: This shacket is SO thick and cozy! I like that it’s a little longer because it will definitely keep you warm in the winter. The colors remind me of a pumpkin spice latte with shades of brown, taupe and rust. It also has snap closures, so no annoying buttons.
  • Price: Originally $98.00, marked down to $59.90

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings

  • Sizing: I wear a medium in these because I don’t like for them to be super tight!
  • Quality: These are always the #1 selling item in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I understand why! They are universally flattering and so comfortable. They also last for a long time! The pair I’m wearing is a few years old and looks brand new.
  • Price: Originally $98.00, marked down to $64.90

Marc Fisher LTD Nairy Lace-Up Bootie in Tobacco/Natural Suede

  • Sizing: These run a little big, size down half of a size. I’m wearing a 6.5.
  • Quality: These are very similar to the Marc Fisher Izzie boots that are my very favorite boots for fall and winter, yet the price is INCREDIBLE! I really cannot believe that these are $100 off. They look so cute with leggings and jeans and will keep your toes and feet nice and toasty. These have a thicker sole than the Izzie boots, which makes them look a little trendier in my opinion! I know it might feel weird to buy these boots in July, but I PROMISE you will be thanking yourself come October. (If you want to see some posts where I styled similar boots, check out this link.)
  • Price: Originally $249.00, marked down to $149.90

Chelsea28 Floral Long Sleeve Chiffon Dress

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: This is one dress that doesn’t look like much online, but I fell in love with it in the store. The pattern and colors are so beautiful in person, they remind me of a crisp fall day when the leaves are changing! The sleeves are sheer and it has a faux tie at the waist. I think it’s so flattering and would look good on so many different body types!
  • Price: Originally $99.00, marked down to $59.90

P448 John Low Top Sneaker

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 7.
  • Quality: These low top sneakers are very similar to Golden Goose sneakers, if you’re familiar with those! I really, really love how these look on – you can’t tell from the photo, but the tongue of the shoe is glittery and looks sooo cute and girly! I’ve never worn this brand before, but I wore them around all day yesterday and found them to be very comfortable. I did wear them with a pair of low-cut socks, so I can’t speak to their comfort without socks!
  • Price: Originally $298.00, marked down to $199.90

BLANKNYC Faux Shearling with Faux Leather Trim Bomber Jacket in Silver Lining

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: This faux shearling bomber jacket is one of the cutest jackets in the sale this year! It has soft faux shearling on the outside and faux leather trim around the cuffs, as well as a pocket. I really like how this one is cropped but not cropped too much. In my opinion, it’s the perfect length! I think it definitely feels like a $98 jacket, so the price is awesome.
  • Price: Originally $98.00, marked down to $54.90

Good American Good Waist Crop Skinny Jeans

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a 2.
  • Quality: These jeans are probably my favorite denim purchase from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year because of their versatility! I found myself reaching for them over and over again when styling outfits – I actually had to force myself to wear some of the other jeans I bought. The dark wash is a little dressier than most pairs of jeans and I like that these have no distressing whatsoever. • Price: Originally $49.00, marked down to $29.90

BLANKNYC Zip Suede Miniskirt

  • Sizing: Runs big, I sized down to a 24.
  • Quality: I always buy one suede skirt from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and this one was “it” for this year! The zipper makes it incredibly easy to take on and off, as well as tuck shirts into. I also like that the zipper gives the skirt a younger, trendier vibe. And it’s a really pretty tan color!
  • Price: Originally $98.00, marked down to $54.90

Nordstrom Floppy Wool Felt Panama Hat in Camel Light

  • Sizing: One size (adjustable).
  • Quality: This is by far my favorite hat from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It somehow managed to go with almost every single outfit I bought, and I had to force myself not to wear it with every outfit. It’s a beautiful light camel color with a cream-colored ribbon.

  • Price: Originally $150.00, marked down to $99.90

Halogen Rib Turtleneck Sleeveless Midi Dress

  • Sizing: Runs small. I’m wearing a S.
  • Quality: I decided to get a small in this dress because I felt that the XS was a bit too tight, especially on my stomach and butt! I found that the small was a perfect fit and did not leave me feeling self-conscious. This dress would look so good paired with a chunky cardigan or blazer. I personally like adding a belt to the middle to break up the black.
  • Price: Originally $59.00, marked down to $38.90

Madewell Medium Perfect Genuine Calf Hair Belt

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: This belt is an unusual take on animal print – the pattern is very unique and different and looks great with a lot of fall basics. Since the belt is patterned, I prefer to wear it with solids!
  • Price: Originally $42.00, marked down to $27.90

Nordstrom Floppy Wool Felt Panama Hat in Camel Light

  • Sizing: One size (adjustable).
  • Quality: This is by far my favorite hat from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It somehow managed to go with almost every single outfit I bought, and I had to force myself not to wear it with every outfit. It’s a beautiful light camel color with a cream-colored ribbon.

  • Price: Originally $150.00, marked down to $99.90

Daydreamer Women’s Grateful Dead Sky Tie Dye Reverse Graphic Tee

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: This tee is one of the trendier items in the sale. I don’t normally gravitate towards graphic tees, however I LOVE this one! It’s a light blue and lavender color, made of a high-quality material and is slightly cropped to make it easier to tuck into jeans. I personally like it styled with mom jeans!
  • Price: Originally $69.00, marked down to $44.90

Levi’s 501 Distressed Crop Jeans

  • Price: Originally $298.00, marked down to $199.90

Treasure & Bond Off the Shoulder Thermal Knit Top in Beige Oatmeal

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing a M for a more oversized fit.
  • Quality: I decided to size up in this thermal top because I wanted it to look oversized rather than fitted. The top is very cropped, so even the medium did not come down that far on me (and definitely did not cover my butt). However, because it’s cropped, it made it really easy to tuck into my jeans! I love the look and feel of this one, it feels a bit like wearing a pajama top.
  • Price: Originally $49.00, marked down to $29.90

Good American Long Sleeve Belted Body-Con Dress

  • Sizing: Runs small. I’m wearing a 1(S).
  • Quality: SO many good black dresses in the sale this year! This one is a bit of an investment, but it’s REALLY thick. You can’t see any underwear lines because the material is so thick, and the bonus is that it would keep you warm in the winter, too! The tie-waist detail is incredibly figure-flattering, and it has a small slit on both sides. I think this dress would be perfect for a date night!
  • Price: Originally $149.00, marked down to $99.90

Vero Moda Tari Leopard Spot Jacquard Sweater

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: I can’t believe the price of this sweater – it’s less than $40 but feels like a designer sweater worth at least $100! The camel color is very rich and beautiful, and I love the slight puff detailing at the shoulders. The puffy silhouette makes this a very figure-flattering sweater, since it makes your waist look smaller!
  • Price: Originally $59.00, marked down to $38.90

Thread & Supply Wubby Jacket in Frosted Charcoal

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: I love the new take on this Thread & Supply jacket from last year. Instead of a pullover, it’s offered in a jacket version that is a LOT easier to take on and off. It has snap closures all down the front, two pockets on the side and a front pocket with a snap closure as well. This honestly feels like wearing a blanket! It is SO cozy and makes me want to run to Starbucks and a grab a hot coffee!

Caslon Rounded V-Neck T-Shirt in Camo

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: I usually buy some basic solid tees from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but this year they had a lot of fun prints including this camo one! From my experience, Caslon tees hold up really well in the washing machine (I still own and wear all of mine from several years ago). This camo print was too fun and trendy not to pass up.

Vince Double V-Neck Knit Popover Dress

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: I got really excited about this knit dress because it’s made of a soft, silky material and you can definitely tell it’s a designer dress when you’re wearing it. I just know I will throw this on over and over again this summer and fall – it’s that “easy” type of dress that looks just as good with booties as it does with tennis shoes. The black is slimming and the tie around the waist accentuates your figure.
  • Price: Originally $195.00, marked down to $119.90

Thread & Supply Shirt Jacket in Black Tan Plaid

  • Sizing: TTS. I’m wearing an XS.
  • Quality: The quality of this shacket is incredible. It’s lined inside for double thickness and warmth. The buttons are functional buttons. It runs oversized so that you can easily wear a chunky or oversized sweater underneath. I love it with jeans and also with the Spanx faux leather leggings!
  • Price: Originally $49.00, marked down to $31.90

Let me know if you have any questions! Part Two will be up later this week!

What socks do you wear with the Marc Fisher Nairy Lace up bootie?

Thought on the Vince Camuto Amtinda squat toe bootie?

    • I wear these socks! https://rstyle.me/+UjQK0ZKpc_BwRkZu4X4QQQ

I saw those Vince Camuto squat toe booties in person and wasn’t really a fan, but only because I don’t know how I’d style them! I think they would be a good option if your pants covered up the top of the booties. In person, the top looks like it would fit snug like a sock!

Love love love your Nordstrom anniversary sale blog posts! Even though I can’t really buy much out of that sale because of shipping and custom fee costs, I still go back to your posts even years later for OOTD inspo! Thank you so much for your hard work on these posts! Wishing you and the fam a great rest of the week. Love from Germany, Anne

Thoughts on the treasure and bond Jedi over the knee boots? They seem similar to the Sam Edelman in look and color. Curious to know if you saw them and picked one over the other.

Btw just discovered your blog a couple months ago and love your content. Lobe seeing you grow and your journey as a new mom!

I recently discovered your blog and am enjoying it.
As a petite curvy woman with a larger than average chest (really, it’s both a blessing and a curse) who tends to carry any weight gain in her middle, I have mixed feelings about ribbed material. It seems to be on trend this season. I like the white ribbed mock turtleneck, but fear it will accentuate the wrong things. What is the material like? Is it like a tight ribbed material or more of a flowing material with ribbed texture? Thanks in advance for the insight.
