Today we have a special guest on my blog… my mom (aka CARCAR)!! It has become an annual tradition for my mom to review her Nordstrom Anniversary Sale pieces on my blog – and I think you guys like her picks better than mine hahah! My mom found some REALLY cute outfits, so without further ado… 🙂

Hi guys, I’m Caitlin’s mom for those of you who don’t know, and I’m excited to show you all my picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Caitlin and I had a great time shopping the sale this year, even if we did forget to eat breakfast and were “hangry” all day hahah. Regardless, I think this year’s sale is better than last year’s, and I can’t wait to wear these outfits in real life (not just for a pic). For sizing reference I’m 5’4 and usually wear a size small or a size 2.

Madewell Patch Pocket Pullover Sweater

• Review: I am a sucker for stripes and a comfy oversized sweater. I sized up to a large in this for just that reason. This was my favorite sweater from the sale. Fits true to size.
• Price: Originally $75, marked down to $49.90

PAIGE Transcend Skyline Skinny Jeans

• Review: I bought my first pair of Paige jeans from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a couple of years ago and they have been my all time favorites. Paige jeans are the MOST flattering for me. They have just the right amount of stretch to be comfortable but not so much that they get baggy. They also last from season to season. I wear a size 27 in these.
• Price: Originally $189, marked down to $109.90

Vince Camuto Nestel Knee High Boots

• Sizing: They run TTS, I got my normal size in them, a size 6 1/2. Cait and I both got these knee-high boots from the sale! Love the slightly pointed toe that makes your legs look longer.
• Price: Originally $239.95, marked down to $159.90

BP. Cozy Top in “Pink Frosty Camo”

• Review: This is the softest and coziest top. This might actually be a sleep shirt but it is just too cute not to wear during the day haha!! They make the matching joggers which ended up in my bag too. Comes in two other solid colors too. Wearing a size small in this and it has a nice fit.
• Price: Originally $39, marked down to $25.90

AG The Legging Raw Hem Ankle Skinny Jeans

• Review: These jeans are actually from last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but they were included in this year’s as well (I think they’re sold out at the moment). I’ve gotten so much wear out of these throughout the past year! I size down one size and wear a size 26 in these.

BP. Rainbow Marl Sweater

• Review: Wearing a size XS in this for a little more of a fitted look! Love the marled look with all the different colors. This would be cute with regular denim too!
• Price: Originally $49, marked down to $31.90

Tory Burch Mini Everly Leather Crossbody Bag

• Quality: I love this mini crossbody bag! The color is more pink than blush this year and it is a beautiful shade. Made of really nice, high-quality leather and large enough to fit an iPhone, keys and lipstick.

Caslon Plaid Shirt

• Review: I always love a good plaid shirt for fall. This one comes in two other colors. Love putting a cardigan over the plaid. The sleeves on this one are slightly shorter than usual but I like to roll mine up so that wasn’t a negative for me. Wearing an XS.

Chelsea28 Button Front Cardigan

• Review: Wearing the XS/S. This comes in three other colors. It’s really soft!

Tory Burch Everly Leather Tote

• Review: I LOVE THIS TOTE SO MUCH!! It has a lot of pockets and zippers inside for organizing. The hardware is a really pretty brushed gold.

Halogen Open Front Pocket Cardigan in “Pink Bride”

• Review: I went with my normal size (small) in this cardigan, and it fits perfectly! The “pink bride” color is a really nice, happy pink. I like that you can start wearing it now in the summer and then transition it into cooler months. I’m wearing it with a plaid top and a white tee (above) so that you can see how it looks with both.

Halogen Crewneck Sweater

• Review: I can’t find this exact striped color on Nordstrom’s website, so it must be sold out. I’m wearing this sweater in a size small and it’s a really nice fit!

Something Navy Flecked Crewneck Sweater in “Beige Oatmeal Heather Combo”

• Review: I’m wearing a size small in this sweater. I love everything about it, from the soft material to the tiny flecks of black mixed in. Literally THE perfect sweater for fall and winter. You could easily put a scarf over this sweater, too!
• Price: Originally $79, marked down to $49.90

Halogen Abbi Block Heel Genuine Calf Hair Bootie

• Review: Caitlin convinced me that I needed these booties, and I’m so glad that she did. I paired them with a simple sweater and jeans so that they would really make a statement.

Socialite Long Sleeve Thermal Henley Top

• Review: I got a size small in this henley. This is the perfect top to run around town in, especially with comfortable sneakers.

Halogen Ivie Platform Genuine Calf Hair Sneakers

• Review: These run true-to-size. I love that they have a little bit of a platform so that I feel taller!

Halogen Long Sleeve Modal Blend Tee

• Review: This is my personal favorite outfit! This modal blend tee is incredibly soft. I went with a size small. Snug enough to tuck into a skirt or pants, but still comfortable.

STS Blue Emily Denim Miniskirt

• Review: I got a size 27 in this denim miniskirt. I was worried that a denim skirt might look too “young” but I really like how this one is longer and has more coverage than others I’ve tried on. I really like the wash of this one, too!

Something Navy Leopard Printed Scarf

• Review I love the subtle leopard print of this scarf – it makes it more of a neutral rather than a statement piece.

Sole Society Plaid Fringe Scarf

• Review: I love this plaid scarf and am really sad that it’s currently sold out! The grey and tan is a very classic combination.
• Price: Not sure because it’s sold out!

Striped V-Neck Tee

• Review: This is a great basic that I’ll wear all fall and winter long. I would normally pair this with a cardigan in the fall. I got a size small.

AG Ex-Boyfriend Relaxed Slim Jeans

• Review: I don’t normally like the “boyfriend” fit on me, however I tried these on and really liked them. I did size down one size to a 26 (the 27 was too relaxed on me, they looked baggy!). They best thing about these jeans is how comfortable they are! You don’t feel restricted at all.

Caslon Cozy Print Sweatshirt

• Review: The SOFTEST sweatshirt I own! The older I get, the more I just want to be comfortable 🙂 And this is the definition of comfortable!

Caslon Rounded V-Neck Tee in “Ivory-Blue Carter Stripe”

• Review: I’m wearing a size small in this tee. I originally bought it to wear this summer with shorts, but I really like it paired with this long cardigan!

Halogen Wool & Cashmere Long Cardigan

• Review: This cardigan is an investment piece, but definitely worth it. It’s made of both wool and cashmere and incredibly warm and soft to the touch. This will last for years and years! I got a size small and the grey color because grey is a classic.

Gibson Cozy Twist Front Pullover

• Review: I love the lavender color of this pullover, but it also comes in five other colors. The twist-hem detail really dresses it up.

Tory Burch Everly T-Strap Flat Sandal

• Sizing: I sized down in these sandals a half size. I love how the gold hardware on these is a brushed gold – it’s really beautiful in person!

Barbour Oakland Quilted Jacket

• Review: I’ve been wanting a Barbour jacket for years now, so I decided to finally pull the trigger when I saw that it was included in this year’s Anniversary Sale. I like that it’s packable and can easily fit into your suitcase without taking up too much room, but you don’t compromise on warmth.
• Price: Originally $250, marked down to $166.90

• Review: I saved one of my favorite looks for last! I got a size small in this crewneck sweater. I really like the pop of pink color, and you can go ahead and start wearing it now with shorts or white pants.
