Mini House Tour Part One

Good morning, loves!!! Last September when I moved into our house, I did an empty house tour on my blog (read it here!). Although I feel like we’ve made a TON of progress in decorating it, there’s definitely a lot more to do! I’m sure you know how it is, there will probably never be any room that I think is “perfectly” decorated. There are still plenty of empty walls and open spaces that need some work, and I’m constantly switching things up to see what looks best where. With that being said, I’m happy to be sharing some updates on our home decor today. This post ended up being sooo long so I had to split it into two parts! The first part today will feature the mud room, guest bathroom, dining room and master bedroom, all located on the first floor. I’ll be sharing the details of our kitchen and small living room in another post coming soon!

  11. This was such a fun tour! I love seeing people's homes when they are still a bit "in progress" because it lets all the little details you've added slowly really stand out. Sometimes when I see a total "after" I'm so overwhelmed that I don't know where to get my own inspiration from, hehe! That said, everything you've added is beyond lovely and despite the fact that you aren't finished yet, your rooms are looking so romantic and well dressed! I don't think anyone is surprised, hehe! P.S. I love decorating with hydrangeas too, and when I noticed your's in the photos, I couldn't wait to share this tip I learned from lynzyandco! She suggested buying "alum" (it's in the spice aisle) and dipping the cut stems in it. I have had some hydrangeas for over 2 weeks now on my kitchen table and they still look brand new! Happy decorating!!

  12. Your house looks so pretty and you did such a great job decorating it. I just moved to my own place and I can't wait to decorate it and make it my own too. Also I think I need a mirror like that for my outfit shots.

  14. Caitlin,
Your home is beautiful! As a designer, I see so much potential for how to finish off each room and space. I wish I lived close to you, but if you are ever interested in eDesign please let me know.

Btw, I can't wait to see how the Ballard Designs living room turned out. Ballard is one of my favorite retailers!

    Many blessings,

  20. What do you call the type of floors in your mudroom? I saw some just like it in a model home recently and want to use them when I do my build, but I have no idea what they're called or how to even describe them!

    The house looks so lovely!
