Leopard Date Night Dress

I wore this leopard print chiffon dress on a date night with my husband this past weekend – I just LOVE the chiffon material and how fun flirty it is – especially with a little twirl. I wore it with ankle strap sandals for our date but I’m dying to pair it with booties or even over-the-knee boots in the fall! I *think* I’m finally ready for fall now. Even though I’m dreading winter (because now I relate winter to having anxiety), it is way too hot to even go outside right now! So it will definitely be nice when the temperature cools down and the leaves start changing colors… 🙂

Nordstrom always has the best fall clothes and accessories, and they already have a ton of new arrivals for fall on their site and in store! You can check out their new arrivals here.

I just got a new thriller and IT’S SO GOOD that I stayed up until 2 or 3 am (I can’t even remember) last night reading! I know that means I’m going to be extra tired today but I seriously couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to share with y’all in my next book review!

*Thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post

  1. That is a lovely dress, so pretty! I especially like the sleeves and how flowy the fabric is.
I am kinda ready for fall as well! But that’s pretty much solely for the reason that I can whip out all of my fall clothes, haha!

  7. Such a cute dress! I love anything leopard. If you haven’t read The Silent Patient you absolutely need to. I just finished it and it’s the best psychological thriller/murder mystery I’ve ever read!

I’ll admit that when I first linked to this dress, my first thought was that it looks a bit dumpy on the Nordstrom site. This is all about styling it up, and you did it so well! I just bought a pair of over the knee boots in a dark gray during the Nordy sale, and this would be a perfect date night option to pair with them. I love it when you do postings with your Mom. I am 51, and I love taking looks from both of you and making them my own. Love your style!

I love your style and totally copied this outfit for date night! planning to wear this dress again this weekend and was curious how you’d style it in the freezing cold. I have black over the knee booties, would you keep the belt brown to tie in the leopard print or switch it up to a black belt?

    • Hey Lindsay, I think you could do either a brown or black belt, I LOVE the idea of black OTK boots! I think if you’re going really dressy then a black belt would be better, but if not, then a brown one. It would be really cute with a black coat, too!
