Exploring Aruba

Aruba is absolutely stunning, from the sandy beaches, blue water, and the charming pastel buildings. Yesterday, my brother and I explored around the city on foot – the best way to get to know a new place! We got some ice cream, shopped around and discovered this cute little pavilion just waiting to have its picture taken 😉 Since I wanted to be comfortable for lots of walking, I wore my new Sam Edelman Cutout slide sandals from Nordstrom – I am in lovvvve with all those rhinestones! They come in a bunch of colors (and a leopard print, too). I’m also crushing on this super comfortable Free People minidress – it’s been really windy in Aruba and this thing was so flowy and comfortable! But I did almost lose my hat a few times due to the intense wind, lol. This has been such a fun trip with my family – I hardly ever get to travel with my entire family (including my dad, too) and it feels like I’m a little kid again. We are so goofy when we all get together – no one probably understands our humor but we all tease each other and act so silly together. My husband swears that my mom and I have our own little language that only we find funny!!! Haha.

Nordstrom has some cuuuuute new arrivals for spring and summer – I am drooling over everything on their site and REALLY dreading the trip back home to cold weather! Eekkkk!

*Thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post

This is so cute!! My husband and I are thinking about going there later this year. I read your travel blog about when you all stayed at the Renaissance hotel, but I am wondering if you’d be willing to give an estimated food budget per day? We’re trying to decide on all inclusive vs just buying our own food and with your mention of all the yummy restaurants I’m kind of thinking we don’t do all inclusive any more! I’d SO appreciate any info you could give!! Thanks girl! 💖

I went to Aruba on my honeymoon 35 years ago… it was desolate, windy, very non-touristy. No one had even heard of it, much less knew where it was!
