Colors of Fall

Good morniiiiing from rainy New England, you guys! The leaves are definitely starting to change here (*see above*), but unfortunately the last couple of days we’ve had a nonstop downpour of rain! It’s okay, though, as I’ve spent most of my time reading books or in cozy restaurants or coffee shops 🙂

I wore this outfit on the first day we got to Connecticut – as always, Nordstrom is my go-to during the fall season! This year I decided to invest in a nice wool hat (the only ones I’ve owned have been $30 or less) and I have fallen in L-O-V-E with this Rag & Bone one! I love the light colored ribbon and the little bow – which makes it feminine but still really classic at the same time. You can tell it’s a really nice hat because it’s very thick – it doesn’t bend at all! Some of the previous ones I’ve owned get really messed up in my suitcase while traveling, but this one really keeps it’s shape. I’m also loving corduroy skirts for the fall, I’ll link up a bunch in the widget below 🙂

This morning we are leaving Connecticut and are headed to VERMONT! Stay tuned!

Hey Caitlin, hope you are well. I was wondering whether you have any tips as to which socks to wear with these Vince Camuto booties? Maybe you could link some or advise on a brand?
Thank you and safe drive to Vermont!

  5. I’ve fallen in love with corduroy. I have a white corduroy skirt and a burgundy corduroy skirt. They are so perfect for the season and I’ve received compliments when I wore them. I love your hat, Caitilin! x

  8. I love Connecticut and I feel so bad that your experience was in the rain, but if I had to be anywhere in CT on a rainy day it would be Litchfield. I hope you made it to some fun local places such as the Bantam Cinema (one of the oldest movie theaters in the country), Hogan’s Cider Mill in Burlington CT, and Sunset Meadows Vineyard (their tasting room is lovely for rainy days).

In love with this skirt! And also think investing in a good wool hat is a good idea. With how often you find yourself wearing one – it’s definitely worth it! Love the one you picked!
