Bring it on, Jazzercise!

Whew! This girl is tired. Hopefully I can stay awake to make it through this post 🙂

Yesterday was my LDOC (last day of class) and my friends and I celebrated at one of our favorite bars on Franklin St. – He’s Not. I got a big blue cup of one of my favorite drinks, Woodchuck, and we stayed out wayyy past my bedtime dancing and talking and whatnot.

It was a little hard for me to get up this morning, but by the time 11:30 came I was up and ready for the drive back to my parent’s house. Moving out is tough! It took me at least eight trips just to load all of the clothes in my car. Yikes!

I came home to find that everything had blossomed since I’d last been home. Our backyard looks like a jungle! After dinner, I ran some errands with my mom and picked up this shirt at Marshall’s. I’m not a big “bargain shopper”… somehow I can never find anything I want at places like this, but I really loved the color of this shirt. It’s loose and made out of light cotton, and I think it will be perfect for a summer evening. And for only $16, I pretty much had to get it right?

The sleeves are lined with pretty lace. And yes, it is hanging on my lamp, sorry about the ugly background!

I have a busy day planned for tomorrow. In the morning, I’m attending a Jazzercise class with my mom..

I’ve been to the class before, and even though I’m always the youngest one there (by far!), the hour-long class is definitely a great workout. I’ve been trying to do more weight lifting recently to tone my arms, and the instructors always incorporate weights or resistance bands into the routines, so it’s a good mix of cardio and weight training. And we always dance to fun, modern songs (including Glee and Britney Spears).

I need some new weights, and aren’t these adorable? I’m a sucker for anything pink and green. With these, I could definitely kick some Jazzercise’s butt!

I’ll also be grocery shopping tomorrow. At school, I never buy groceries – I eat every meal at my sorority and I don’t have a real fridge to keep food in. During the school year I don’t have access to a lot of the healthy foods I want, like fresh fruit, so now that I’m home, I’m eager to go to the grocery store and load up on some good eats. Here’s the start of my list:

I think this is a good start! All I have to say is, be prepared for some good food posts this week 🙂 I’m home for a week before I head back to school to finish up exams and I want to bake some sort of treat while I’m here. What should I make? Cupcakes, cookies?

My eyelids are closing on me, so I think that’s a sign I need to get some sleep. That Jazzercise class is going to come sooner than I think!

Goodnight all!
Love, Caitlin
