Black & Tan

Good morning, friends! I’m back with one of my last outfits from Colorado (BUT I will be doing a Travel Guide so stay tuned for that!). I love this cashmere cardigan – I actually wore it to travel in on the way to Telluride. It is sooo soft! And I love the colors, the black, tan and grey – it’s the perfect fall combo.

Enough about the outfit, on another note, I’d really like to start digging a little deeper in my blog posts. It seems like everyone is all about Instagram these days, but part of the reason that I still love blogging is because I get to go more in depth with you guys. I’d love to talk about some more meaningful topics… my struggles with anxiety, how I stay motivated, even topics like comparing yourself to others or why women should all encourage and support other women!  If that’s something you’d like me to do, I’d love your guidance! Let me know what all you want me to talk about 🙂

xoxo

Cait, I absolutely love when you share personal insights on the blog. All the topics you mentioned sound fascinating. One of my favorite things about the blogging world is reading posts that motivate me, mirror my feelings, and inspire me to be better! Can’t wait to read.

Yes yes yes- would love that!! Over the past year I’ve tried adding a more personal topic to each one of my outfit blog posts. I LOVE fashion but it started feeling kind of fake to me to just write about what I was wearing each time I had a new post. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you’ll be sharing!

I have actually deleted instagram because I just felt like it was such a waste of time. It’s not real life, everyone has struggles. Just seemed like sometimes it would get me down because I’d see everyone else living the dream and there I was at home. It was such a relief to let that go. You could do a post about how to manage social media overload. Keep blogging!

Yes! I look forward to reading your blog every day on my coffee break and get sad when they are short ones. I would love to hear more about how you manage your anxiety and how you just keep it all together. You always seem so put together and perfect and I would love to know how you manage it all.

  11. I love your blog posts about real things Caitlin!

I’d love to here about more on the topics of anxiety, and self-esteem. I have struggles with anxiety, and reading about yours helps me feel I’m not alone in it. Topics like comparing yourself to others or why women should all encourage and support other women is also a biggie for me! I’ve wanted to interview bloggers like you or Krista to get an insight on how our community can help others stay true to themselves and be proud of it. What do you think?

I gave you a shout out over on my blog for my earrings you gifted me last Christmas. I love love love them! If you remember please let me know 🙂

  12. I enjoyed all of your Colorado outfits so much! This cardigan is super pretty, it really makes a whole outfit.
Excited for you to touch on different topics in upcoming blogposts, I adore reading blogs, Instagram is way too fast paced and sometimes even superficial for me. I feel like you can really learn a lot about a person the way they talk/write about certain subjects!

Love the outfit! But more importantly I would love to read more on meaningful posts, your personal insights, & encouragement. Seeing as you have the platform to reach out to more women, I think it would be a fanstastic idea for you to dive deep in your blog posts and express a more “personal” side. Can’t wait to read!

    Caitlin,
I’m older, but have followed you for a couple years now. When I wear scrubs all day, it’s nice to see what the trends are and not be so out of touch, and you are always tasteful. I personally like the travel guides you post, and your book recommendations since we seem to read the same genre. Also, encouraging women to be supportive of each other instead of tearing others down shows that you are very secure in yourself and your faith.

It’s been interesting to see you grow and mature. You are a lovely young woman! Keep up the outstanding work! I’m sure whatever direction you decide to go in with you posts will be uplifting to all who follow you.

I love reading your blog… Actually reading it, not just looking at the photos! Of course you post beautiful photos as well but you are very relatable in what you write and your verbiage 🙂 I would love more wordy posts about anxiety, productivity, day in the life, etc! 🙂 You’re the only blogger I have followed for years that has stood the test of time and that I still read throughout various phases of life and I love everything you post! ❤️ xx Sydney

Yes to all of the above. I’d also like to see how you juggle everything/what keeps you organized, how you deal with stress or de-stress. I love the travel guides and book recommendations.

    Caitlin,

I’d love to have more open dialogue that integrates faith back into daily life. I went to undergrad at a state school, and it was great, but looking back I realize how systematically and deliberately faith and God were pushed completely out of everything. It became second nature to me before I realized what was happening. Now I’m in grad school at a private Christian university, and I’m having to re-learn how to bring faith back into my daily thoughts and life. I was so sad when I realized this! So my request would be—let’s start normalizing faith and God again! Just a little here and there makes such a difference, and I think it could really help make the world a happier place.

  29. One of my favorite fashion trends over the last few years has been the mixing of gray and tan – so this cardigan is right up my alley! As for deeper topics, I’d love to hear your perspective on how your mom/family can be helpful in dealing with your anxiety – my daughter suffers from anxiety and I’m always wondering how I can be most helpful and supportive.

Thank you for bringing up your struggles with anxiety. I think a lot of people struggle with anxiety, more than we realize. Its an important topic and I would love to hear how you cope

  31. I’d really love a post about anxiety. As someone who suffers from panic attacks and quite often (bc of wedding planning), I’d sure love a couple of tips that work best for you! I’ve done my research but I know for sure, I’ll have to even hire a wedding planner because suffering is just not worth it if it’s affecting my health. I should enjoy planning, not stressing!
