Barefoot Dreams throw (included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!)
Good morning and happy Tuesday, everyone! A lot of you requested a “Beauty Picks” blog post from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so that’s what I’m doing today. Many of these products I’ve already blogged about before, so you may recognize them! This is one of the only times of the year that they go on sale, so I’ve bought a bunch & restocked my favorite items. Let’s get started…
First up, I love love love Chanel gloss and there’s a set of three moisturizing glosses (and they come in the cutest carrying case!). The shades of the glosses are “Rose Pulpe,” “Amuse-Bouche,” and “Tendresse,” all beautiful pink or red hues. I really love the formula of these – they’re not sticky at ALL, and the formula is enriched with coconut oil, peptides and vitamin E to moisturize your lips. Plus the case it comes with is SO cute. The same kit also comes in a nude version if you’re a fan of nude glosses.
My favorite lipstick brand, MAC, also has some really great deals in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This mini lip kit contains two of my favorite colors: “Smoked Rose” and “Not Too Sweet.” If you haven’t used MAC lipstick before, it’s life-changing! I can always count on the formula to be smooth, pigmented and long-lasting. I wear MAC lipstick in almost every outfit post you see on this blog. 🙂
Next up, my favorite body lotion of all time, Kiehl’s Creme de Corps! I blogged about this lotion in this blog post, naming it as one of the 10 beauty products I can’t live without. And it’s true! It doesn’t have particularly strong or noticeable scent, which I like, and it’s incredibly rich, creamy and luxurious feeling without being greasy AT ALL. I slather it on right after I get out of the shower and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft – it even kept my skin moisturized all last Winter so you know it’s a good product! This bottle featured in the photo is actually from last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – so that’s proof that it lasts a long time 🙂 I actually ordered a new one this year to use when I run out of this one!
This product was also included in my 10 beauty products I can’t live without blog post, and for good reason. This Slip silk pillow case comes in a 2-pack for $109, which is nearly the price of one by itself. Although the price may still seem expensive, hear me out… they’re worth the splurge! Sleeping on silk has numerous benefits – silk fibers are less absorbent than other fibers, so they help lock in your skin’s moisture and whatever products you apply to your face before bed. The smooth fibers also reduce facial wrinkles and split ends (I wake up in the morning without ANY pillow wrinkles on my face!). After a couple of years sleeping on this silk pillowcase I don’t think I could go back to a regular pillow. And if I ever do sleep on a regular pillowcase (for example, in a hotel), I can immediately tell a difference. This product is one of the most life-changing beauty products out there (IMO!).
Another product I’ve blogged about before, these Voluspa Maison-Blanc two-wick candles are the absolute best. These are the kind of candles that make your whole entire house smell good! I stock up on these each year because they’re such a good deal, and odds are if you come over to my apartment on any random day, one of these will be burning! In addition to the scent, I also like them because they’re made with essential oils, coconut wax and cotton wicks for a clean burn.

Also included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year is my T3 hair dryer! Last week, I did an entire blog post on my hair care routine and raved about this dryer, so I was really excited to see that it’s included in the sale this year. These dryers are professional quality and hardly ever go on sale. The dryers are enriched with negative ions, which cancel static and seal the hair cuticle to help maintain moisture and enhance shine.
And finally, I wanted to mention that my favorite shampoo and conditioner are also included in the sale! *Hands up emoji* These are marked down more than $40, which is an amazing deal (I know, they are quite expensive). I’ve blogged about these products over and over, in this post, this post and this one. They really are the best products out there (that I’ve tried). They reverse damage and heat processing, leaving my hair softer, silkier and healthier than before. I truly love these!
I also ordered a few more beauty products from the sale (that haven’t arrived yet!). I ordered this oil diffuser, this brow serum and this makeup brush cleaner. I’m mostly excited about the brow serum because I want my brows to grow in a little thicker! Has anyone used it before?!

I picked up that Kiehl's lotion – can't wait to try it, especially in the cooler months! As far as your hair dryer goes, does it last quite awhile, too, or have you had to replace it over the years? I have read a few reviews that mention it just stops working after awhile. I was curious if you have experienced that at all?
I've been wanting a silk pillow case for ages now! I'm going to order that one asap!
