Beach Day in 30A

13Sorry it has been a minute since my last post! Our whole family spent last week in 30A and it was a busy (but fun!) trip. We actually didn’t have the best weather while we were there, so we only got to spend one day on the beach – and you’re lookin’ at it! Haha. We wanted to make the most of our day, so we literally spent the entire day on the beach and even went back out at sunset! I wore this fabulous floral swimsuit from Target. It is full-coverage and very flattering! I wanted the girls to match colors, so Kennedy is wearing this adorable blue and white striped Minnow swimsuit and Collins is wearing a patterned playsuit in similar colors. We didn’t plan for Chris to match as well, but he happened to be wearing these Peter Millar swim trunks so it worked out great for us to take a family photo!

I tested out a new “clean” sunscreen on our beach day and, sadly, it did NOT work very well! Both Kennedy and I ended up with sunburns, even after applying and re-applying. So, I will not be recommending that sunscreen! Haha. If you happen to use a “clean” one that works well, I’d love to know! We may go back to using the Beautycounter one we loved last year.

xoxo

Just out of curiosity, what made you switch from the beautycounter one?

I love Blue Lizard (no scent) and Australian Gold (fresh scent) sunscreens. Both are 100% mineral , clean formulas that rub in easily.

P.S. I loved Elta MD sunscreen until I realized it wasn’t a physical block made and contained chemical sunscreen ingredients that are not good for you or baby.

  5. I love your swimsuit! It matches so well with Kennedy’s, too. If you’re in the market for a good sunscreen, I’d recommend Raw Love Sunscreen (https://rawlovesunscreen.com). It’s made naturally and sustainably in Hawaii, is reef safe, and has tons of good ingredients. It’s honestly one of my favorite sunscreens that I’ve ever used because it actually helped clear up my skin as well as protect it. 🙂

  6. Love these photos! I’m so sorry you didn’t have great weather, that’s no fun on a beach trip especially – and hate that you had sunburns! Hope you find a better sunscreen, I’m on the hunt for a good clean one too!
