Aztec Poncho for Less than $40

If you read my blog post from yesterday, you’ll probablyyyyy recognize this exact outfit, haha! Except this time I added a poncho, and I think it makes the outfit look completely different (it also shows how versatile this ruched dress is). Anyway, this $39 aztec poncho was one of my favorite items that I brought with me to Aspen! I love the pattern, the black and grey, and how it goes with virtually any outfit. Believe it or not, we were freezing most of the time in Aspen (especially on the days it snowed) and a few times I threw this poncho on over whatever I was wearing, just to try to keep warm. It ended up going with every outfit!Ok I need y’all’s help! I have been trying to find some new books to read, and I end up starting a book, reading 30 pages and finding it not interesting!! I don’t know if it’s because there’s too much stuff going on in my life right now (sometimes that makes it hard for me to concentrate on a book) or rather if the books I’m choosing are just boring! So if you’ve read a good one lately, let me know in the comments 🙂

xoxo

  2. I read My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella recently and it was really good! It was a quick and easy read – just something light hearted which is sometimes necessary to break up the more serious / scary books!

  4. Have you read any of Diane Chamberlain's books? I wouldn't classify them as psychological thrillers, but they are somewhat suspenseful (there's always some kind of mysterious event/person you're trying to figure out) and I love how they explore relationships in families. I would start with either Necessary Lies or The Bay at Midnight — LOVED both!

  14. Since you love mystery/thrillers, you have to read The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle. It is SOO good! It's about this husband who dies in a plane crash on his way to a work conference, but the plane that crashes is going in an entirely different direction, so the wife tries to figure out what he was doing on that plane and what he was lying about. You will not be able to put it down! If you want more of a romance read, definitely pick up The Light We Lost. You will cry your eyes out and think about the story for days after you finish it!!!

  20. Great poncho. I'm a gaucha, from Rio Grande do Sul (the same culture than Argentina and Uruguay), so poncho is a very familiar piece of our wardrobe.

  29. It all depends on what you want to read! My favorite book so far this year would be The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. If you want a good true crime recommendation then I'd go with Devil's Knot or Helter Skelter or Columbine. My next to-read thrillers are Fierce Kingdom and Final Girls. Hope this helps – I love reading your book reviews/reccs!!

  31. Ahh, okay, I have to nab that dress now! I love the way it hugs the body, but not too tight. Okay for books, I highly recommend The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. I must warn you that even for a short book, you'll laugh AND cry so have tissues ready! And if you haven't read it yet, try Heaven is For Real by Todd Burpo and When God Winks by SQuire Rushnell. Both are short, but oh so good! Let me know if you read them! xo
