Arrived in New England!

We left Saturday for our annual road trip up to New England! After a very loooong (and boring) drive, we made it to Connecticut Sunday night! We are staying in the western part of the state in the cutest little cabin that is modeled after a library (check out my instastories for some sneak peeks!). I’m so excited to share more of our travels with you guys… we are going to be doing quite a bit of traveling around while we’re here ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, this is the outfit I wore yesterday to drive around and explore Connecticut! Downtown Litchfield is SOOO pretty – there are cute little shops and restaurants lining the street, along with a gorgeous big orange tree. These faux leather leggings are now my go-to for driving around all day – they are SO COMFY – unlike jeans. I sized up one size in them because I didn’t want them to be too tight/uncomfortable, and I’m glad I did! They’re perfect. I also want to point out that my sweater and scarf are super affordable – my tan sweater is only $40, and my plaid scarf is only $20 ๐Ÿ™‚

Yesterday we also explored Bantam – we had some of the best pizza of my entire life at Bantam Pizza and then went next door to Arethusa Farm Dairy for pumpkin-flavored ice cream (which was magical). It is supposed to rain all day today, so fingers crossed that the sun comes out at some point!

xoxo

  4. If you are here a few more days, try to get a reservation to the Arethusa restaurant next door to the ice cream store. It is the best restaurant in Connecticut.

Welcome! I grew up the next town over from Litchfield. If you have time and/or are looking for some things to do there is a CT wine trail. Hopkins Vineyard is one of my favorites in western CT, mostly because it over looks a Lake Waramaug. Topsmead State Forest is very scenic area for walking. White Memorial and Kent Falls as well. There is the Litchfield Distillery and the tastings are free, but careful you might get a bit of a buzz:) Arethusa, Market Place, At the Corner, The Village, and Bohemian Pizza are great for eating.

Did you size up in the sweater? I was wondering if the neck opening in the small is big enough to wear it off the shoulder comfortably?

    • I got my normal size! It’s a V-neck so the neck hole is definitely big enough to wear off the shoulder ๐Ÿ™‚
