A Weekend in Blowing Rock

Happy Monday, you guys! We are back home from Blowing Rock but had the best week last week. It already felt like Christmastime in the mountains because they had wreaths on every lamp post! (Plus we watched holiday movies the entire time, lol) I love this turtleneck sweater because it’s sporty and has a slight touch of red without being too “Christmassy.” I’m also obsessed with my new hiking boots – I got my normal size and at first I thought they were a little bit big, but then I put on a pair of wool socks and they are a perfect fit. And you only really need to wear them in cold/wintery weather, so I probably would only wear them with thick socks anyways. Just note that if you’re planning on ordering them! Not only are they really thick and high-quality, but they’re comfortable too.

On a side note, it’s really nice taking trips with my parents because I get to feel like a kid again for the week! They drove us around, cooked dinner, washed dishes, etc. and I am normally the one to do all of those things in our household. It was so nice to revert back to being a kid for a week lol! Does anyone else’s parents do that too?!

I’m sharing some Thanksgiving outfit ideas tomorrow so stay tuned! xoxo
