printed blue midi dress (I’m wearing XS) // leather woven sandals
I’ve got the Monday blues…. especially when they come in the form of this blue midi dress! (Yes, that was totally cheesy.) But seriously y’all I love this dress. I’ve worn it a couple of times since it came in the mail last week… Not only is it really comfortable, but it’s so easy to throw on and *voila* your entire outfit is complete. I chose to pair it with a neutral handbag and shoes, but it would also be really fun with some pops of color!
Okay so I definitely meant to do a mini apartment tour yesterday buuuut I had a little issue with my bed so hopefully I can get it up this week. My rug did come in over the weekend, but cat people – how do you get your cat to not claw at your carpet/rugs?! George immediately tried to sharpen his claws on it and I had to keep him out of the living room the entire weekend. If you have any advice please let me know, I’m desperate!

Your dress is beautiful, kind of gives a country feel with the browns :). I have an indoor persian and I cut her nails, takes a little practice, but easy enough or you can just take him to your vets. I do it every 2 weeks as I only clip the points, hopefully that will help, also you can get sprays that will make the cat not want to go on it, usually from a pet shop 🙂 Good luck!

Does George have a scratching post? The only way we've been able to keep Lux off of various carpets and chairs is to give her better options! She particularly likes the corrugated cardboard scratching posts and doesn't give a fig for the actual "cat trees" with rope and carpet that cost us a bazillion dollars to buy. If he likes cat nip, you can sprinkle it in to the cardboard.

Buy a scratching post and spinkle it with kitty litter! My cat stopped clawing when I got him a proper "cat condo" thing that had a large scratching post attached.

Buy a scratching post (or two) for your apartment. Definitely have one in the room with the rug. Typically cats only claw furniture when they don't have other options. Good luck!

I use Nature's Miracle No-Scratch Spray on my couch and rugs. It works like a charm! It's all natural, so it is totally safe for your cat. I buy it at Petco.
