The Cutest Blanket Scarf In the World…

Cutest blanket scarf everIn love with this blanket scarf!
Cute fall/winter outfit
oversized checkered blanket scarf (sold out, really similar here and here)
Trouve red sweater (so comfy! I’m wearing a size small)
How do you like the title of my post?! Haha! I couldn’t think of anything better, and I seriously DO think this scarf is one of the cutest blanket scarves out there. It came in the mail yesterday morning and I immediately switched my outfit to match the scarf. I am crazy obsessed with it! The funny thing is that when it’s unfolded it looks exactly like a fleece blanket… but that just makes it all the better (and more cozy). I love that it’s black and white because those colors go with everything. (Check out my blanket scarf tutorial if you are unsure how to tie one like this!)
UPDATE: The scarf is sold out but there I found similar ones here and here!
I don’t know why I am telling y’all this but the lipstick I’m wearing in this post (MAC crosswires) was the first tube of lipstick I ever bought in my whole life – and I was a senior in college! I remember going to the mall in search of a coral lipstick because I was heading to Mexico for Spring Break the next week. (Who knows why I wanted a coral one?!) Oh how far I’ve come in a few years, haha… now I own somewhere between fifteen and twenty different colors! I used to hate wearing lipstick but now I feel naked without it! Anyways, this specific color has always been a favorite because it was my first one 🙂
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

  1. That scarf really is flippin' adorable!! I know what you mean about the lipstick, too. I used to never really wear bold color on my lips…then I worked with an older, southern woman who reapplied her lipstick between every few customers. She told me one day I would benefit from some color on mine because I look a little washed out. Advice I've never forgotten. And now, my favorite color to wear is wine! 🙂

Love the scarf! It looks very cozy. I can completely relate to needing to wear lipstick. I only recently became obsessed with it and now I have to buy a new lipstick at least once a month.

  16. Hi Caitlin! I am obsessed with your blog, its a constant inspiration up here in dreary, frigid Chicago! Question: do you have any tips for how to keep your lipstick looking great all day? Even my higher end lipsticks still need several re-applications throughout the day/night. Thank you!

    • Hey Rachel! Unfortunately, I don't have a trick for making lipstick last all day (I wish I did!) because mine always fades after eating lunch or after four to five hours. I think making sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized helps, and wearing a gloss on top seems to keep the color lasting a little longer. 🙂

  17. I'm in love with this sweater and have seen you wear different versions multiple times. I am having a hard time paying $68 for it. Do you know of one that's similar that is a little cheaper?? Even like $40-$50??

    1.7.15Reply
    • Hey Sydnie! I know $68 does seem like a lot for a sweater, so if you're looking for a similar but less expensive one, I would try Forever21! I have found some really amazing, high quality pieces there for cheap. I like to look in the store so that I can try things on and feel the material in person. I bet they would have some really similar sweaters to this one! Hope that helps!
