I seriously fell in love with this cropped sweater and midi skirt combo when I spotted it online and knew it would be perfect for NYFW! It’s kind of retro but totally fabulous for fall… (and midi skirts are super “trendy” this season). I’m only 5’4 (on a good day), so I typically stray away from midi skirts. However I do think short girls can get away with them, if you know how to make them work for your body type. The trick? Pairing the longer skirts with crop tops… It gives the illusion that your body is taller and doesn’t “overpower” petite frames. I ordered a medium in this particular sweater because I wanted it to cover up more of my stomach (the one on the website looks pretty tight!).
A cool front has landed on NC the past couple days and I could not be happier. I’ve been sippin’ marble macchiatos and wearing sweaters/cardigans like it’s nobody’s business! I’ve also been really tempted to shop online for fall goodies… these fall booties are in my shopping cart right now, what do y’all think?!
