"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." - Psalm 100:1-5

Happy Thanksgiving!

Merry & Bright (Sugar + Blossom)

When I laid eyes on this Amanda Uprichard blouse from SC Sugar, it was love at first sight. From the bright red color to the front and back cut-outs, this top screamed sexy - but still classy! It really is the perfect top for holiday parties. I would also pair it with a high waisted black skirt, black tights and black pumps. Oh it just gives me chills! I know you're supposed to have visions of sugarplums dancing in your head, but I have visions of this top.

And let's just talk about these over-the-knee boots from Blossom. I have been looking for black boots for what seems like forever! I may even have convinced Santa to "surprise" me with them on Christmas. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, everyone! I have a full day of work and then I'm headed to Charlotte to see my family and extended family for Thanksgiving. What are your plans?

Silver Sequins (Sugar + Blossom)

It's Day Three of my Sugar + Blossom series... and I am hopelessly in love with this Julie Brown blouse. I can't get enough of those silver sequins! There are so many ways to wear this blouse... Pair it with a cardigan or tuck it into a high-waisted skirt, you can't go wrong. Oh and can we please talk about these over-the-knee boots? They may or may not be under my Christmas tree right now. (Thanks Santa.)

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Peppermint Mochas & Cozy Sweaters (+GIVEAWAY)

Something about a peppermint mocha in the cold weather just gets me in the mood for Christmas (yep, I'm fully aware that we haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet, haha). Something else that gets me in the mood.. plaid shirts paired with cozy sweaters! I am pretty obsessed with this Anchor Down Sweater from In Bloom Boutique. There are so many cute sweaters on their website I could probably go crazy. Annnnddd you can get 15 percent off your purchase at In Bloom with the code "CAIT15," so go check them out!

Of course, this look isn't complete without two things. One: the Starbucks gold sleeve (reusable and just gorgeous). And two: a Stella & Dot arm party. I received the Eden Bangle by Stella & Dot a few weeks ago and it's the perfect addition to my daily stack. This bangle is actually sold out... but you could still get one since my stylist, Lauren, is giving one away on my blog today!

Happy Sunday!

One Top, Two Ways

Second outfit:

Have y'all heard of Leona Collection? Oh my word. They have the cutest, most classic designs. Ever. When I saw the whole collection I knew I had to have something for my holiday wardrobe, specifically an outfit combination that I could wear a number of different ways for years to come. I fell in love with the Emma Top from the moment i saw it! The black and white is so classic, and the peter pan collar and low-cut back are details that are just too gorgeous to pass up. I love that you can pair it with pants or a skirt and it looks equally as amazing. The Pat Skirt is from their collection too - it was seriously made for the Emma Top!

Now will someone host a holiday party and invite me so I have somewhere to wear these to?

Day Two (Sugar + Blossom)

Blossom clutch, necklace and infinity scarf - call 864-227-9273 to order

Hello! It's Carla (Caitlin's mom) here. I had the opportunity to get in on the fun and try on some cute clothes and accessories with Caitlin. We both thought this look would be perfect for a day filled with holiday shopping. These Sam Edelman boots from Blossom are SO comfortable (they actually came home with me that day - haha!) and I had been on the lookout for a classic pair of black boots. They are also super slimming, which is hard to find in a pair of boots.

The Raven top from SC Sugar is one of their best sellers, and now I know why. Not only is this top incredibly comfy but it's so versatile - it looks just as perfect when paired with gold necklaces or a cozy scarf. I'm pretty sure Caitlin is going to try to steal it out of my closet (she does that a lot).

I think this is a great outfit for younger girls, but moms really like stuff like this too!

I'm usually more comfortable behind the lens, but it was fun getting to be the "model" for a change. Thanks for letting me take over Southern Curls & Pearls for the day!

Love, Carla

Six Days of Sugar + Blossom

Good morning Tuesday! Many of you who follow me on Instagram know that I was up to some fun this weekend... and it involved SC Sugar and Blossom Shoes boutiques! We had a fairytale photo shoot in picturesque downtown Greenwood. It was gorgeous, y'all... the streets were lined with fall leaves and Christmas lights, and the horse-drawn carriage was riding through the quaint streets.

This is the first outfit in the series and we went for a more casual holiday look. I would wear this to dinner with friends, a Christmas shopping trip or even to a casual holiday party. How gorgeous are the chevron sequins on this sweatshirt? The black leggings and black boots really make the sweatshirt pop, and the combo elongates your legs, too! (And as always, no outfit is complete without a fabulous arm party.)

The girls at SC Sugar and Blossom Shoes were seriously the sweetest. Annnnddd there's a little surprise on the sixth day that you won't want to miss. ;)

Check back tomorrow for the second day of the series... which also happens to be a guest post!

A Swoozie's Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays for several reasons - quality time with my family, great food and a gorgeous tablescape (oh and of course remembering everything I have to be thankful for!). This year I'm thankful for Swoozie's holiday collection, which made shopping for table decor incredibly easy.

burlap table runner // Swoozie's gladys kitchen candle (in store)
Swoozie's place card (in store)
Swoozie's place card (in store) // burlap silverware pocket
Swoozie's salt and pepper turkeys (in store) // striped paper straws

For this tablescape, I combined my Gramma's china plates with Swoozie's pieces for a "country elegance" feel. The burlap table runner adds some rustic charm, while the silverware pockets and paper straws add a playful touch. And of course, having my mom's dining room as my playground never hurts! (Thanks momma.)

A lot of the items featured in this post aren't online, so be sure to head to your nearest Swoozie's for all your holiday needs. And pssst! If you do order online, enter the code "THANKFUL20" to receive 20% off your Thanksgiving order!

Oh and however you choose to decorate your Thanksgiving table, just don't let your cat catch on fire...

That was a close one! ;)
