I recently ordered some NARS makeup products from {Apothica}. This was my first time trying any products from the NARS and I was really excited – I had heard so many great things about this brand.
First up, I ordered NARS Pure Matt Lipstick in {carthage}. This bright, super-rich lipstick is a little bit shocking at first. The first time I put it on, I felt like it might be too overpowering. However after a few hours of wear, I decided I loved it!
This lipstick contains wild mango butter, which is incredibly moisturizing.
I added a little bit of clear gloss on top for some shine.
I also love the packaging. This slim tube would easily fit in a clutch or in your pocket!
When I picked this hot pink hue out, I had summer in mind. I can just imagine what it will look like with a tan!
The conclusion on this one? 9 out of 10
Next up, I ordered NARS blush in {orgasm}. There’s so much hype about this product on the internet, I was anxious to see if it lived up to its reputation as the perfect universal blush.
The verdict? It’s very pretty natural-looking peachy color.
It’s also incredibly subtle… even after I applied it, I couldn’t really tell that I had added any color to my face.
I do think this NARS blush is a pretty color that would look good on many different skin types, but I’m actually a bigger fan of Bobbi Brown’s blush in {nude pink}. It’s a little bit of a brighter, softer pink that gives my cheeks more of a glow.
The conclusion on NARS blush in orgasm? 7 out of 10. I do love it, but there are other blush colors I love even more.

Love that lippy! I have orgasm and use it almost as a "gym" or "errands" blush when I don't have makeup on. Bobbi blush is my fave and I wear light pink:) pretty post!
I use Nars orgasm blush. Since moving to England I've become pale to the point of looking like a twilight extra so it shows up quite well on me. But that being said I also top it off with some Bobbi Brown shimmer brick. xx

I actually haven't tried any Nars products. I'm in love with my Smashbox blush though (if you are looking for other blushes to try). And that lipstick looks fantastic on you! 🙂
I haven't tried NARS before, but I've also been interested in trying the Orgasm blush!
I am definitely tied to my bobbi brown blush too, but that lipstick looks so great on you I am tempted to try!
You should try the 'Orgasm' Illuminator… it's a lot less subtle than the blush and looks amazing!

I used Nars Orgasm since high school and switched to Bobbi Brown blush a year ago and I have to agree I love Bobbi much more! At least it compliments my face better! I do love Nars bronzer and illuminator though! And their lip colors are so fun, the pink looks great on you!
LOVE Nars Orgasm. I recently used it up but have been trying to get through other blushes I have before I shell the money out to replace it. I do miss it though! And it's rare that one single color can flatter almost any skin tone. Gotta love it.
Beautiful colors on you. I love Nars. My very favorite is their Deep Throat blush (too bad for the unfortunate name!). I have their sheer glow foundation and cream blushes on my wish list though. Oh and their eyelid primer is the best!
That lipstick is gorgeous on you!!! Obsessed with that color! You should check out the stila custom color blush. It's one of my favorites. Definitely pinker than NARS orgasm and I'm so pale I think it pops a little better.

Nars makes some of the best makeup. I have their concealer stick that look like your lipstick and it works wonders!
The lipcolor is gorgeous! It's perfect for summer/spring and adds the perfect pop of color! I got a MAC one like that awhile ago that I thought at first was too pink, but a little bit of gloss makes it perfect.

love the lipstick!! and i've loved the orgasm blush for awhile – try applying it with a dense blush brush – the pigment goes on better and stays longer! i love it!

Great review on Nars, glad you were honest about the orgasm blush. I have yet to buy it, although I tried it in the store, I couldn't' really see it. What I do recommend you trying however is the Nars Laguna Bronzer. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will love it.
