Ready for Christmas!

Okay I can’t contain myself any longer – you’ll find Christmas outfits on the blog from here on out! 🙂 We are in FULL Christmas mode over in our household. This Abercrombie scarf has been on repeat lately because it’s so darn festive. It’s also super soft, and you can pair it with literally ANY neutral outfit! I love it with this Abercrombie dress, but I definitely needed to wear a coat the day we photographed this – if you can’t tell from the goosebumps on my legs!

This Christmas is so strange! I feel like this past year has absolutely FLOWN by. Maybe it has something to do with having a child – the time just passes quicker. And I absolutely can’t believe that Christmas is in one month!!! One month is not enough time to celebrate and to do all the things I want to do! Do you guys feel that way too or is it just me?

Also, I want to start some fun Christmas traditions with Kennedy this year, so let me know if you have any special ones in your family! 🙂

  1. Time most definitely flies once you have kids, and it just keeps getting faster and faster the older they get. Soak up every single second, the good and the bad! And I feel the same way about the Christmas season… it’s just not long enough to squeeze in all of the festive things we want to do. Love this dress on you!

My husband’s family had the tradition of giving a yearly ornament at Christmas. It usually had something to do with what was going on in that child’s life that year. (Hobby, Musical instrument, Sports, Graduation, 1sts, engagement, married, or new home, etc) So when we got married, his precious mama handed me all of his ornaments for the past 20 years of his life. Those were our first ornaments on our Christmas tree as a couple. She also, started buying them for me when I became apart of their family. We cherish every single one, especially now that she has passed. We continued the tradition with our kids and this year I will have the privilege of handing off 21 ornaments to my oldest son’s fiancé. It truly is bittersweet, but so special, as I sat and watched him show her each of his ornaments as we decorated our tree this year. The last year that I have all my babies under one roof.

  3. Your outfit is so beautiful! Love the booties and the Polene bag! I definitely feel like this year has been super fast, too. Hard to believe the new year is right around the corner!
