Remember when I covered the fall wardrobe essentials in this post? Well today I have one more essential item to add to your list and that’s a faux fur vest. Fur vests are incredibly chic (and cozy!) and despite what you may think, you can style them a number of different ways. Below I’m showing two of my favorite ways to style a fur vest… the first is more casual, while the second is a dressier, date-appropriate option.
lavender blouse // crystal earrings // denim // Tory Burch clutch // link bracelet // gold watch // booties
This outfit is the perfect outfit for attending class, running errands or grabbing coffee with a friend. I love the color of this blouse! Too often we think that fall and winter clothes have to be “plain” or “boring colors” but that isn’t true at all! The bright lavender adds a pop of color while the fur vest keeps the outfit from looking too spring-y. Also, I’m a little obsessed with these booties.
I love the above look for so many reasons, one being that it goes along with the “school girl” vibe that I’m obsessed with for the fall. You could definitely wear the shirt and pleated skirt alone, however the fur vest takes the look up a notch and also pulls together the color scheme with the brown boots. I own this plaid shirt (you may recognize it from this post!) and you can wear it a ton of different ways. The only thing this outfit is missing? Some cute, ruffly boot socks of course! I would totally wear this outfit on a date or to a big dinner with a bunch of girlfriends.
Below I’ve linked up some affordable options for faux fur vests this season (trust me, just one will last you several years!). I’d love to know how you style your fur vest! Let me know in the comments.
Oh and happy Friday! I’m looking forward to the weekend… my best friend from high school is coming into town this weekend so we have some fun things planned. Then on Sunday a few of my blogger girlfriends are coming to Charlotte for a girls’ brunch! I also plan on sleeping in as MUCH as possible this weekend. 😉 Thanks for reading!

Both of these styles are great and I love Tory Burch ridding boots, they are my favorite! I have been debating whether or not to get a faux fur vest – this post may have convinced me to get one!

I am so obsessed with this! I have wanted a fur vest for the longest time, but have been scared to take the plunge for some reason, but this makes me want to go out and buy one ASAP. I love both of the outfits you style and it really shows how versatile this piece can be. I especially love it paired with a plaid shirt.

I've worn my winter vest right throughout winter this year. It's such a great staple piece. Now that summer's on it's way this side of the world, it's time to pack it away.
