My Favorite Non-Toxic Beauty Products

Happy Monday you guys! As you all know, over the past couple of years I've been cleaning up my diet and eliminating processed foods, chemicals and toxins. Well, the same goes for my bathroom cabinets! Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and absorbs anywhere from about 21 to 100% of what you put on it. I've been making an extra effort to use products without harsh chemicals or toxins, and spent the last six months testing out a bunch of products! Surprisingly, I've found a bunch of amazing products that are affordable too, and the best part is that all of these are available at your nearest Walmart.

Here's a list of my favorites!

This body wash smells HEAVENLY!!!! It's a beautiful, feminine, rose-scented body wash that you will want to lather your whole body in. It doesn't contain any sulfates or parabens and is infused with plant-based cleansers like organic coconut oil and handpicked Bulgarian rose. I actually look forward to showers so that I can use this stuff! In addition, every bottle is made from 100% recycled materials and are recyclable.

Made by the same brand, this body wash smells equally as great but has more of an earthy scent! It's infused with organic coconut oil, natural tea tree oil and vetiver, ethically sources from Haiti.

Can you believe it - I've actually switched over from my Chanel lip balm to this one! I love the scent of cherry, and this organic lip balm is infused with organic olive and coconut oils to moisturize and organic shea butter to protect against drying. Unlike other lip balms that always leave your lips wanting more, I can apply this once and my lips don't feel dry after a few hours. It's free of parabens, harsh preservatives, synthetic colors or fragrances, phthalates or harmful sulfates, and they don't test on animals.

I use these towelettes on my face in the morning or on my body after a workout at the gym if I don't have time to take a shower. They gently exfoliate your skin while removing dirt, oil and makeup and are 99.1% natural.

I have been trying to find a natural deodorant for a long time now - especially since a few scientific studies have linked deodorant to breast cancer! This one by Tom's smells like lavender and is completely natural, without any aluminum. In my honest opinion I don't think it works quite as well as a normal deodorant, but I use it because I love that it's all natural!

This sugar scrub smells SO GOOD - whenever I even take the top off of it, my entire bathroom immediately smells like it. I use this scrub in the tub or shower with a wash cloth every time before I go for a spray tan to exfoliate and get rid of dead skin cells. It contains organ oil from Morocco to ease inflammation and organic shea butter for moisture. Plus y'all - the SMELL. I feel like I'm in a spa when I use this!

Made with pure, natural ingredients and zero alcohol, this probably doesn't taste like your usual mouthwash. It's not quite as minty, however I do use this is in the mornings to keep my breath fresh - it is clinically proven to last more than 12 hours!

One of my go-to retailers for date night outfits is Nasty Gal - they have the best selection of flirty dresses, rompers and two-piece sets, including this combo I have on today. My black ribbed bodysuit is only $12 right now and I'm crazyyyyy for this little leopard skirt! It has a sewn-in slip, and a flirty slit that shows off a little leg. I love the flounce at the bottom too - it makes it so feminine and girly! Nasty Gal is currently having a 40% off everything sale - prices as marked - so be sure to check out the widget below for more of my favorite date night looks!! They also have a TON of new clothes in for spring and summer so I'm also doing a little honeymoon shopping lol :)

Did everyone have a good weekend? Ours was a little CRAY hahaha - I had a bridal shower Saturday morning, and then we went straight to an out-of-town wedding that night. I am glad to be back home and getting stuff done around the house today!

Pack With Me for my Bachelorette Party!

My bachelorette party is in May and we are headed to Wild Dunes - a beach close to Charleston! I'm so so so excited that I've already begun packing, hahah! Today I wanted to share with you a peek into my beach-bound suitcase. Along with a bunch of blue-and-white stripes, gingham and blush pink hues, you'll also find my Kopari Beauty essentials.

I would never recommend something to you guys without testing it out first, so over the past month or so I've been using their three-step system which consists of an oil cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Let me start out by saying what I love MOST about Kopari Beauty is that there are ZERO toxins in any of their products. I've been trying to eat clean for a long time, but now I'm starting to transition to cleaning out my skincare and makeup products too - toxic chemicals shouldn't be in your food or the products you put on your face! Secondly, I love how gentle this line is, and how nourished, fresh and clean my skin feels after using it. The light scent of coconut is pure Heaven, it immediately transports me to the beach in my mind - hahah! Last but not least, I love what the brand stands for and how they're empowering women everywhere. As women, we all know that accepting a compliment is easier said than done - we're much better at deflecting or denying! Kopari is encouraging women everywhere to accept compliments and pass it on by complimenting other women and empowering them to do the same. Now that's a campaign I can get behind!

I can't wait to show all the girls at my bachelorette... and pass on the compliments to them too!

What I'm Ordering for Our Honeymoon

white floral bikini (only $40 for both pieces!!!) // "I do" straw tote (LOVE!!)

Okay let's be honest... my favorite part of planning a wedding is planning the honeymoon. Yes, wedding planning is great and all and I can't WAIT to marry Chris, but with all the stress that surrounds the wedding day and all the details that still need to get done, I can't help but think about the day that we leave for our honeymoon, married, blissful and stress-free. I'm keeping our honeymoon location a secret for now, but I have already been ordering a few things for our trip that I wanted to share with you :) By the way, you might even be able to guess where we're going from this color palette (leave your guess in the comment section!!).

I wanted to point out a few things that I think every bride NEEDS for her honeymoon!!

1. This white floral bikini that's only $40 for BOTH the top and bottom! It's actually a dupe for this designer swimsuit that's $200. I've been obsessed with the designer one for ages. I can't wait to rock this on the beach with my new husband! ;)

2. This Mr. and Mrs. luggage tag and passport set. These sets are on sale for only $34 right now and how cute are they!!? I can already imagine a cute travel Instagram with these cute passport cases :)

3. This "I do" straw tote. All brides need this bag for the spring and summer! I love the pom poms and the big embroidered "I Do!" Mine came in the mail the other day and is SUPER high quality too!

I'm sure I'll be revealing more about our honeymoon the closer we get! (Less than 1.5 months now ahhh!)

Happy weekend you guys!

Festival Style

first look: white romper (available in all sizes!) // floral crown // laser cut sneakers, also love these
See more festival looks here

Who else has been inspired by all of the Coachella outfits on Instagram lately?! Even if you didn't get to Palm Springs this year, you can still infuse your wardrobe with some fun and festival-inspired looks. Nasty Gal has a HUGE selection of festival looks and the ENTIRE store happens to also be 40% off right now! My white romper is marked down to just $36 right now (it would also be great for bridal events!) and this floral crown is only $18. Even if you don't think that festival looks are necessarily your "style," it can be really freeing to get outside of your comfort zone sometimes! Give it a try ;)

Thanks for all of your feedback on yesterday's post - I'll have a "wedding beauty treatments" post up for you soon!
