My Favorite Affordable Makeup

Good morning and happy FRIDAY you guys! I've been getting a lot of questions lately on my makeup products - I've been going for that "no makeup makeup" look that is very natural and bronzed - perfect for spring and summer. A lot of my go-to products are incredibly affordable, too, and can be found at your nearest Walmart! (Which is great because no matter where I travel in the U.S., there's bound to be a Walmart nearby :)

Here's a roundup of some of the best products for that natural, bronze summer makeup look:

L'Oreal Paris Lumi Glotion Highlighter #902 - I wear this on days when I don't wear any foundation but still want glowy, dewy skin. It also works really well as a primer!

Maybelline Facestudio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder - This is the perfect setting powder for your T-zone - the areas where you DON'T want to be shiny and glowy! My T-zone always gets oily in the summer and this prevents it from happening.

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in "sunshine" - I apply this around my hairline, underneath my cheekbones and down the sides of my nose for contour, it's a great, natural-looking bronzer.

Maybelline Facestudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in "rose gold" - THIS is an amazing highlighter! I apply it to the tops of my cheekbones and it really glows!

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Primer Mascara - My ride-or-die makeup product. This mascara primer makes all the difference in the world! I never go a day without it.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in "pink chic" (found in store) - The perfect pinky/nude shade for a natural makeup look.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer - This product is for your body, but I've been using this for years! You can use it every day to build up a very natural looking tan, and it's incredibly moisturizing.

Let me know if you have any questions! I hope everyone has a great weekend! xoxo

From the Gym to a Date...

When shopping for a high quality tote bag, I always search for one thing: versatility. I hate switching up purses throughout the day, I always forget to transfer over something and it's such an annoyance! That's why it's essential to find a tote that you can wear throughout your entire day, from your workout class to work to a lunch date with friends. Enter: the St. Anne Tote from Barrington Gifts. It's cute enough to take you from morning to night, looks like a designer bag, and is roomy enough for everything  you could possibly need! When I work out at the gym, I pack a small towel, change of clothes, water bottle and all my makeup and there's STILL room for more. Plus the nice leather straps don't dig in or hurt your shoulders!

Here's how I styled it from my gym class to a lunch date...

This past weekend we celebrated my fiance's birthday - he's officially 30!! A few of our friends drove up from Charlotte and we had the best weekend with them. Let's just say  I need looooots of coffee this a.m.!!

My 5 Favorite Ways to Unwind at Night

wearing: May Contain Wine sweatshirt // Splendid pants

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite ways to wind down at night - this Winter I really struggled with anxiety and stress, and I learned that winding down before bed is IMPERATIVE if I want to get a good night's sleep! I start by turning my phone on "Do Not Disturb" mode, and try not to look at it for the rest of the night. You would not believe how much of a stress-reliever it is to not check Instagram comments or text messages - those can all wait until the morning! Here are five more of my very favorite ways to wind down:

1. Light a Candle
I'm a crazy candle person - there's usually always one burning in my house because I love how they smell, and I love the calming effect they can have on your emotions. Today is actually the launch of Kendra Scott's NEW candle line and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you! In addition to Kendra Scott's home collection, they have just come out with four unique candle scents. I own the candles in two scents - amethyst and rose quartz and I love burning them at the same time in different areas of my house. Rose quartz is the one I love to light at night in my bedroom - I swear I can feel the tension easing out of my shoulders when the scent fills the room! It's AMAZING!

2. Take a Bath
I have mentioned this plenty of times on my blog before, but I LOVE baths. I find them so relaxing at night! Lately I have been filling the bath with lavender epsom salts and soaking for 15 minutes every night. The epsom salts help soothe sore muscles, which has been really helpful since I've been trying to work out more!

3. Pour a Glass
My favorite wine at the moment is rosé, and pouring a glass before bed really helps me unwind (especially if you drink it while you're in the bath tub!!).

4. Face Mask
I love putting on sheet masks at night for several reasons: the first is that they're great for your skin, and the second is that for ten minutes you're FORCED to not do anything! You have to lay back on a pillow with the mask on your face, you can't even check your phone or read. Try to calm your mind during this time and stray away from stressful thoughts or your To-Do List.

5. Netflix and Chill
My final favorite way to unwind at night is to watch some good ol' Netflix! Chris and I have been watching The Office from season 1, and for some reason that show helps me zone out and soothes my mind. Plus it's hilarious and it has me laughing and smiling, no matter how stressful my day has been!

I would love to know your favorite way to unwind at night - let me know in the comment section! And be sure to check out Kendra Scott's new candle line and follow along on the @KendraScott x Takeover on April 9th! :)

Getting Ready for Date Night with Kendra Scott

Anyone who knows Chris or me knows that we go on a "date night" every Friday night. We cook dinner during the week, so Friday is our night to dress up, get out of the house, and spend quality time together. One of my favorite parts of the night (don't tell Chris hehe) is the getting dressed part! The Kendra Scott Spring Collection just launched with a myriad of pretty stones and metals to choose from, so I got to take them for a spin on our date night last week. I love the Justine earrings because they're a playful and updated take on tassel earrings, and the Kriss bracelet set is the perfect set of bracelets to mix and match for daily wear. For our date, I decided on the Diane earrings in "ivory pearl" because I love how they looked with my pink top!

I'd love to know which piece is your favorite! I'm linking up more of my favorites in the widget below :)

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

The $24 Camisole I'm Stocking Up On for Spring

Express One Eleven ribbed camisole c/o // Express pink cardigan c/o
Express high-waisted shorts c/o // Givenchy handbag, similar HERE // similar wedges

One wardrobe staple that I really value having is a good camisole. It has to check off several requirements: comfortable, fits well/flattering, can be worn by itself, and can be worn underneath layers. This Express One Eleven camisole is $24 (and if you buy two it's only $19) and the PERFECT cami for all of those reasons! I ordered the XS and it's the perfect fit - not too tight, not too loose, and looks amazing by itself or under a cardigan. I also love how it's ribbed, and the ruching in the front is very flattering to your bust (I need all the help I can get hahaha!). I ordered it in all five colors :D

Today you can get $25 off your purchase of $100 or more (in-store only) at Express using the code 3396, find the terms and conditions here.

What is everyone up to this weekend? Chris's birthday is on Monday so we're making it a birthday celebration weekend! He is sooo excited for his birthday hahaha it is so cute to see :)
