Fall in Manchester, Vermont

Paige jeans (on sale!!) // over-the-knee boots, similar but less expensive HERE

This is my third fall in Manchester, Vermont and I fall in love with it all over again every. single. time. It's a teeny tiny town on the map, but it has such a big heart. Gorgeous colors of orange, red and golden yellow fill the trees (and the ground), pumpkins adorn every doorstep and apple cider donuts are sold around every corner. I'll be sharing more about my trip later on, but for now I wanted to share this autumnal outfit combo I wore on our first day. This plaid scarf is a favorite and it's only $22 - although it does make a statement, it's incredibly versatile and can be worn with sweaters, cardigans, dresses, etc. I also wanted to point out that my Paige jeans are on sale today! They're the perfect jeans to wear with tall boots, I love the color of them and the contrasting stitching :)

Also sorry for skipping a few blog posts this week! It has been a crazy week with travel, annnnnd Chris and I have something super fun planned for this weekend that I can't wait to share with y'all!

Sending love to you all <3

Fall Makeup Favorites

Good morning, everyone! I thought it would be fun to share a couple recent fall beauty finds. I packed all of these in my makeup bag for a travel day yesterday, we just arrived in Vermont (hence the hotel background, but more about that later :)

Advanced Night Repair Recovery Eye Mask - These are a lifesaver after a long flight or if you're feeling tired! Apply these eye masks underneath your eyes and wait ten minutes and - voila! - your eyes look more rested and renewed. I overnighted these from Nordstrom so that I would have them to use after our flight!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup - I recently bought this Double Wear foundation after hearing tons of people rave about it. I'm obsessed! It's a very natural looking foundation, stays on all day and you can build the product, depending on how much coverage you want.

Highlighting Cushion Stick in "champagne" - This has been my go-to highlighter recently, I love using liquid highlighters in the fall! The champagne color is SOOO pretty and has just the right amount of glow and "wow factor" without being too much.

Right now you can purchase any of these products from Estee Lauder from Nordstrom and receive a free gift with purchase (it's the cute little bag with the lips in my photos, plus everything inside, $150 value!). Enter promo code EYES or CHEEK when you're checking out at Nordstrom to receive the free gift!

Stay tuned for some more photos from Vermont! It is beautiful here and the leaves are just GORGEOUS! xoxo

Aspen Instagram Roundup + Hotel Guide

Good morning, everyone! Sorry for skipping yesterday's post, life has been CRAZY recently! (Side note: amid the craziness I did find my wedding dress on Saturday!) Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share some pictures from my trip to Aspen and the hotels that we stayed in (we LOVED our hotels!) in case any of you are planning a trip to Aspen in the future.

This is my friend Jessica (@hapatime) that I went on the trip with! It was a fun girls trip because her sister came as well as my mom! Our beanies are from ASOS (last year) but Forever 21 has some identical beanies for less than $15 each.

October is a great time to go to Aspen because all of the leaves are changing! Although most of the leaves are yellow due to the Aspen trees, we were able to find a few brilliant red trees too.

Celine handbag, similar here // wool floppy hat // monogram necklace
David Yurman bracelet // MAC lipstick in "creme cup"

This Free People scarf really came in handy during the trip because it was so cold (I was actually freezing in this outfit). The scarf is great wrapped around your neck or as a wrap!

Paige denim // suede boots (sold out), similar HERE & HERE
MAC lipstick in "mehr"

Jessica and I stayed at the Limelight Hotel for part of our stay. Our room had two big comfortable beds, a little balcony and a FIREPLACE! It was so nice to turn on and warm up after coming in from outside.

This sweater dress was one of my favorite outfits I wore in Aspen! I love it paired with over-the-knee boots and a floppy hat.

I think I mentioned this before, but it snowed heavily a few days while we were there. We woke up one morning and this was our snowy view from the terrace of the Limelight Hotel!

on me: turtleneck sweater

You must visit the coffee shop Victoria's if you're ever in Aspen... the coffee is amazing, and so is the atmosphere! This picture was taken when it was blizzarding outside, and we were looking for somewhere warm to sit down for a minute.

This was taken in a little park in downtown Aspen... I love it because of the snow on the mountain contrasted with the gorgeous yellow leaves!!

For the second half of our trip we stayed at Hotel Jerome in Aspen. One of the things I loved most is that they let hotel guests borrow a Mercedes to drive around! We headed up the mountain to check out the insane views.

This aztec poncho was another item I kept reaching for during the trip to try to keep warm! Surprisingly it went with a lot of different outfits.

David Yurman bracelet // MAC lipstick in "creme cup"

You may recognize this as Maroon Bells (from last Friday's blog post). It's one of the most photographed places in the United States. During the summer and fall you can take a bus up to the top, or you can drive your own car after 5 p.m. (so that's what we did). I have been twice now, but I enjoyed this time better because we drove ourselves and we visited during sunset (which was really pretty and less crowded!).

Paige jeans // suede boots, similar HERE

Another shot from Maroon Bells with my sweet momma!

And finally, a travel picture flying out of the Aspen airport. We flew into Denver on the way there, but it is a 4 hour drive from Denver to Aspen, so we switched our flights on the way home to fly out of the Aspen airport. It is a much smaller airport and WAY more convenient!

I wanted to recommend two different hotels that we stayed at during our time in Aspen.

The first was the Limelight Hotel, which is located right in downtown Aspen, within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants downtown. We walked in and immediately felt at home here! There's a huge fireplace in the main lobby and a ton of comfortable seating if you want to sit down and hang out. There's also a hotel restaurant and bar in the main lobby - we actually ate dinner there twice (try the margherita pizza and the mac'n'cheese!). Our rooms were incredibly spacious, with a little balcony and a fireplace (which we used a ton). Be sure to check out the terrace on the fourth floor for an amazing view. And they even had a complimentary breakfast every morning, so we filled up on donuts, eggs, bacon and pastries each day (they had a ton of breakfast options for everyone). We also thought this hotel was very affordable and would recommend it to anyone!

The second hotel we stayed at was Hotel Jerome, which was also located right downtown. The decor at this place is SO cool - lots of plaid, leather and luxurious details, and all the men walk around in cowboy hats. We also really liked our room at Hotel Jerome, and we LOVED the restaurant/bar. At night they walk around with a complimentary drink for hotel guests - we had cold apple cider with honey vodka and it was the best drink I've ever tasted! Another cool part that I already mentioned is that they let you drive a Mercedes during your stay so that you can check out the area! We had fun driving through the mountains :)

If you have any questions about our trip to Aspen, I'm happy to answer them in the comments!

Congratulations to the GIVEAWAY WINNER of the Gucci bag giveaway, @ninaaa_995!

Maroon Bells, Aspen

plaid blanket scarf // similar tan cardigan, also similar here (mine is old!)

If you ever visit Aspen, you MUST go to Maroon Bells! They are the most photographed peaks in all of North America, and it's easy to see why - two mountain peaks covered in snow, with a beautiful lake in between. In the fall it is gorgeous because of the yellow Aspen trees dotting the mountains! I wore this cardigan and plaid blanket scarf to try to stay warm (it's at a high elevation so much colder than town), I ended up wishing that I had bought a bigger jacket!

What is everyone up to this weekend?! Today I have some meetings in Greensboro and I'm knocking out some stuff on our wedding To-Do list :)

Girly Outfit + a Haircare Update!

When I wore this outfit on instagram a few weeks ago, many of you commented and said it looked like an outfit from the movie "Clueless"! That is one of my favorite movies, so I was happy to look like Cher for the day :) If you don't want to bare as much skin, this pink corduroy skirt would also look really cute with a chunky sweater or turtleneck for the fall. Annnnnd if you like the bag I'm wearing, be sure to enter mine and my friend Jessica's giveaway HERE! We are teaming up to give away a small Gucci Marmont handbag - you get to pick the color (it comes in red, black, white, tan, etc.).

I've been getting even more questions about my hair than usual so I wanted to answer a few quick questions here! I am still using this curling wand to curl my hair, I use the 1" barrel that it comes with. Just make sure that when you use the wand, you aren't twisting your hair first -  your hair has to lay flat on the wand! That probably sounds confusing so if you guys want to see a quick video on Instagram Stories one day let me know! The next thing I wanted to share is that my hair has felt and looked a lot healthier over the last couple of months, and the only thing I've been doing differently is using this product consistently every week. I put it on my hair once a week, usually while I'm in the bath tub so I can let it soak in for a while, and then wash it out and style my hair like normal. It makes my hair SO shiny! And lastly, I already raved about this product in this hair post, but this volume powder is a true Godsend/miracle product. I apply it to my roots for volume when I wear my hair down, but it also helps a TON if you like to style your hair in messy buns or high ponytails. It gives your hair some extra grip - it's how I got my high pony in last night's instagram post.

Okay let me know if you have any other questions! Happy Thursday everyone! :)
