Best of NSale Home Decor

Happy Monday, everyone! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on, and I was surprised to find that their home decor section is REALLY good this year (I think I barely glanced at it last year). I placed an order a couple of weeks ago for some items that I could put in my current apartment (and that would transition to the new house!) Let's get started :)

Item: gold starburst mirror, $31.90
This gold starburst mirror is gorgeous... and only $31! It would pretty much look good in any room of the house... office, living room, bedroom, etc. but I chose to put it in my living room to add some interest above my shelves. It's very high quality, not to mention affordable!

I'm obsessed with essential oils, so this diffuser was a no-brainer. Prior to this one I had an inexpensive one that was starting to leak - this one by Serene House is very high quality. It has a ceramic resonator and a glass cover, and uses ultrasonic vibrations to turn the water into mist. It has three different timer options - 60, 90 or 120 minutes - so that you can operate it worry-free (I like to use mine when I go to sleep at night, so this way it doesn't stay on the entire night!).

Item: DKNY marble tumbler, $9.90
I bought several marble home items from the sale, but this tumbler was one of my favorites. You could use it in your bathroom to hold toothbrushes or even in your office to hold pens. I like it as a makeup brush holder :)

I also got this matching marble tissue box cover, it's just so pretty and adds the perfect touch of elegance to any room. I also bought the matching waste basket but didn't photograph it - it goes perfectly in my office!

I already wrote about this amazing leopard throw, but I wanted to let everyone know that it's back in stock in this exact color combo (it also comes in a solid version too). I'm not lying when I say that it's the softest blanket I've ever felt! Funny story, every single night I sleep with it on my bed, and both Winnie and George (my dog and cat) fight over who gets to sleep on it. I ordered some solid colored blankets for the upcoming fall and winter months - they are great to throw over the back of your sofa!

Finally, I got this canvas for my bedroom (and maybe a guest bedroom in the new house). I LOVE the image of the peonies in flower boxes, and also the fact that most of the painting is very neutral with white and grey hues. It makes me happy every time I wake up and see it on the wall! Oliver Gal has a huge collection of art prints in the Nordstrom Sale, check them out here (especially if you love flowers and/or designer items!).

Did everyone have a good weekend? Chris took me to the Sam Hunt concert on Saturday (he got me tickets for my birthday) and it was AMAZING! I have always been a huge Sam Hunt fan and he sounds even better live than he is on the radio. It was also Chris's first country concert experience - I think leading up to the concert he was dreading it, but once we got there he really got into it and enjoyed it!

My Go-To Outfit in the Fall

Gucci Marmont handbag // Celine sunglasses, similar here // similar white tank

This look is one of my "go to" looks in the fall - a military jacket and a good fitting pair of jeans. This year, Splendid included this gorgeous crop military jacket in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - I have talked about this on here before, but Splendid makes the SOFTEST, most comfortable clothing you'll ever touch, and this jacket is no exception. It's marked down more than $50, so if it becomes available in your size, snag it while you can! (This one is also SUPER similar.) These 7 For All Mankind released hem skinny jeans were also another favorite purchase from the sale. I love the slightly frayed hems and the fact that they are a teeny bit cropped, so they look great with booties. I'm also crushing on this pair of boyfriend jeans that are included in the sale as well - they have the perfect amount of distressing (and they're still available in all sizes!).

I've linked up more of my favorite items from both Splendid and 7 For All Mankind in the widget below. :)

*Thank you to Splendid & 7 For All Mankind for sponsoring this post

My New Favorite Ripped Jeans

black tank ($22) // Chanel scarf (bought in Italy, but it is this season)
Good American jeans, also check out this pair that's included in the #NSale
Steve Madden heels (on sale) // Tory Burch handbag (on sale)

If I could wear a variation of this outfit every day - I would! You guys know that I love a good pair of ripped jeans, you've seen me wear my Charlotte Russe ones year after year and I have been long overdue for a different pair. I've been wanting to try out the brand Good American (co-founded by Khloe Kardashian), so I recently invested in this high waisted pair. It's safe to say that I'm OBSESSED. I love that they're high waisted - they really hug your curves but the waistband fits perfectly, so it makes them comfortable to wear (and you're not worried about them falling down). Aesthetically, I love the dark wash and the frayed hems - I cuffed them in these pictures, but they are cute un-cuffed so that you can see the frayed hems! There are actually several pairs of Good American jeans included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year, my favorites are this pair and this one, and they're both marked down more than $50. Also FYI, I did size down one size for the best fit!

On another note, the Steve Madden heels I'm wearing as well as the Tory Burch handbag are both included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! The heels run a little big, so I sized down half a size.

Craving: Fall

By the end of July, I don't know what it is, but I crave fall like no other! Maybe it's the blazing hot temperatures that have me wanting fall weather, or the fact that I'm conditioned to go into "back to school" mode every time August rolls around (no matter how old I get). Regardless, I am longing for the days when the leaves turn colors and the air turns crisp enough to warrant a hot cup of coffee and a cozy cardigan. There are also some really great deals on fall merchandise right now, so I've decided to stock up now and wear later :)

Here are some of my favorite fall items that are out right now...

one // wool floppy hat, $39
Nordstrom JUST got this floppy hat in and for less than $40, I went ahead and ordered it in a few colors! A floppy hat can transform even the most basic outfit into a chic look.

I own this sweater dress in a few colors. I love that it is slightly off the shoulder, and it's so cute with booties. It also comes in a top version!

three // plaid blanket scarf, $29.90 (on sale!)
This plaid blanket scarf embodies all of my fall daydreams! I can see this paired with cardigans, sweaters and even a plain long-sleeve tee on a fall day.

four // buffalo check scarf, $15.90 (on sale!)
Another great scarf, and it's on sale for less than $16!

five // faux leather clutch, $44.95
This little clutch is the perfect olive green hue and a great price.

six // waffle knit cashmere wrap, $125.90 (on sale!)
This cashmere wrap may seem expensive, but it's on sale - it was originally $189! Cashmere is SO soft and warm, and this wrap will last you for years and years.

seven // Laurel peep toe bootie, $99.90 (on sale!)
I ordered these and have been waiting on them to come in! They're included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The neutral color will go with pretty much any and every fall outfit combo you can think of. I love the slouchy ankles and the peep toe.

eight // open toe bootie, $109.95
I couldn't resist including these booties in this fall roundup - how adorable is the bow on the front!?

I'd love to know, what are you most looking forward to in the fall?!

#NSale Pink Sweatshirt

Sincerely Jules pink sweatshirt (included in the NSale! Also comes in light blue)
white shorts // Kate Spade tassel sneakers (sold out), similar HERE
Celine sunglasses, similar HERE // Louis Vuitton Neverfull, buy pre-owned HERE
cubic zirconia stud earrings (on sale!) // initial necklace
crossover ring // Michele watch // MAC lipstick in "pink nouveau" with Chanel gloss on top

Hi everyone! First of all thank you so so so much for all of the kind comments on Friday's post! Seriously you guys are the best. So thankful to have you all in my life. And also thank you for your advice about trying on wedding dresses!!! (I'm actually going today to try on some dresses with my mom, and I will definitely keep an open mind!)

Anyway, back to today's outfit... this pink sweatshirt is included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I just love it. It also comes in a beautiful light blue color and a neutral tan color. It's also very comfortable. I chose to wear it with shorts because it was blazing hot this weekend, but it is also SUPER cute with jeans (maybe when it gets a bit cooler outside). I also wanted to share this initial necklace that I've been wearing nonstop for the past couple of weeks - it's daintier than a classic monogram, and I just love how delicate and classy it is. Plus it's less than $50 :)

Did everyone have a good weekend? My best friend since the 3rd grade came to visit me this weekend and she is pregnant with a baby boy! We had so much fun talking about baby stuff and catching up (she lives in Raleigh). Also this is totally random but I found this song over the weekend and can't stop listening to it - every time I hear it I want to dance!

#NSale Opens to the Public + HUGE LIFE UPDATE!

Sooooo today is the day we've all been waiting for... the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally live to the public! I hope you have your shopping lists ready, because things will go fast!! If something you want is sold out, keep checking because Nordstrom will be restocking most items this morning (especially the popular items like the B.P. cardigans and booties!). If you missed it, I did a full mirror try-on and review blog post HERE. There were so many good items in the sale this year, with really steep discounts! Today I'm rounding up some more of my sale outfits from the past week. Scroll down to find the giveaway winners AND for some life updates :)

First up, this Leith easy circle cardigan in both the pink and beige colors. This is one of the softest and most comfortable cardigans I own. I wear it in a size XS.

This floral bell sleeve romper is also available in all sizes and is marked down to $35. I'm wearing a size XS!

Valentino sandals (not on sale) // YSL lipstick in "beige tribute" (not on sale)

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale also has TONS of cute workout gear this year! I snagged this cropped sweatshirt and a new pair of Zella high-waisted leggings. I love these for both my pure barre workouts and for running errands around town.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale workout wear

This side slit tee is (in my opinion) one of the best items in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They're marked down to $15.90 and SUCH high quality (much thicker than last year's version). It comes in several colors. I'm wearing a size XS.

These Kate Spade tassel sneakers - I just die every time I see them! They're the perfect casual sneaker that you can wear to lunch with your girlfriends, to class or even on a casual date night. I sized down half a size for a perfect fit.

Kate Spade Lenna Tassel sneakers

This Topshop lattice back sweater is another favorite purchase - if you want to see the front, I reviewed it in this blog post. It is made of a really soft material and feels so comfortable on! (Side note - you don't have to wear it off-the-shoulder like I'm doing here.) I'm wearing the size US 2.

Tory Burch has some AMAZING items in the sale this year - including this handbag and these sandals  which remind me of the Miller sandals and are just as cute. My handbag is in the color "light oak" and my sandals are in the color "makeup." Both look like a very soft pink in person.

Tory Burch, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Not everything from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is geared towards fall - you can start wearing this satin cold shoulder top right now, and it's marked down to less than $30. I'm wearing a size XS.

This polka dot blouse stole my heart right away - especially for only $31.90! It's a great top for work, I can envision it with black pants or a pencil skirt. Wearing size XS.

boyfriend denim shorts (not on sale) // monogram necklace (not on sale)

These B.P. lightweight rib stitch cardigans are guaranteed to sell out - again. Every single color sold out during the Early Access Sale! I bought it in this grey color, as well as beige, green and burgundy. It's incredibly comfortable and can be worn so many different ways, with so many different outfits. It does run a little bit big - I sized down to an XXS in this.

white shorts (not on sale)

This comfy blanket is usually super expensive (it is REALLY thick and high quality), but is marked down $60 during the sale. It's a good time to snag one for the upcoming fall and winter months!

I'm wearing a size 2 in this ruffle sleeve cardigan. It also comes in black!

These Rebecca Minkoff crossbody handbags are the perfect fall handbags and are also included in the sale! They're the perfect size to fit my iPhone 7 Plus, my car keys and a few makeup items.

Moonlight pajamas // bedding from Homegoods, pillows from Target

These Marc Jacobs sunglasses are the perfect tortoise sunglasses, and are marked down almost $60.

Another favorite cardigan of mine: this B.P. rib knit cardigan. I love the texture of it, and the fabric is really soft in person. It looks cute paired with a fall scarf! Wearing an XS.

Me and my momma! (She did an entire blog post on her picks from the Nordstrom Sale, if you missed it!) Her ruffle sleeve T-Shirt dress will probably be re-stocked in several colors. This one will be quick to sell out again!

Okay, now for some life updates! I realized the other day that I have done a terrible job of keeping you guys updated with the wedding stuff! Chris and I did book our venue, and the big day will be June 2, 2018 in Charleston, S.C.! Right away we knew that we wanted to have our wedding in Charleston... Chris and I have been going on vacations there ever since we started dating back in 2012. It holds a very special place in our hearts, plus it's just so darn BEAUTIFUL that we couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. The venue that we picked out is everything this southern gal has ever dreamed of - a cute little Charleston house with a wraparound porch. I can't wait to show you! :)

As far as planning goes, we've booked the florist and the band, and are in the process of booking the caterer. Yesterday, I put together some little gift boxes for my bridesmaids (to ask "Will you be my bridesmaid?") and I think they turned out really well! I plan on sharing those with you next week, once all the girls have received their boxes in the mail. As far as the wedding dress goes, I haven't made any progress on that yet. To be honest, I don't even know what style of dress I want.... yikes! If you guys have any advice for trying on dresses, I would love it!

On another note, something ELSE really exciting has happened recently that I've been bursting to tell you guys... Chris and I bought a house!!!!

ruffle hem maxi skirt  // Showpo white top (sold out)

That's me in front of our new front door, lol! :)

I don't even know where to begin to tell you guys the story behind this! It's SO funny how God works, because growing up, I never in a million years thought that I would end up in Winston Salem, N.C. To be honest, when I initially decided to move here a little more than a year ago, I bawled my eyes out. I knew that it was the right decision for me and Chris, and while I was so excited to finally live in the same city as him, I truly loved Charlotte. I loved my friends, my apartment, the shopping, restaurants, nightlife, etc. I just KNEW I was going to hate Winston. I knew it! But I was wrong. I had a terrible experience moving out of my apartment in Charlotte, and when we got to Winston that day with all of our moving boxes, something sort-of clicked... I immediately felt at peace, like I was finally home. Winston is definitely a small town, but it is charming. People here are so friendly, they ask how your day is and they genuinely want to know. It's such a small town that I take Winnie for a walk and run into five people I know, and spend an hour catching up with each one. I've come to love my little grocery store, my cozy apartment, the people in my apartment building, the Pure Barre instructors, the postman, the taco place down the street. Not only that, but moving here was the first time that Chris and I had lived in the same city in several years. I was worried that we would feel isolated from our family and friends, living far away from them, but instead, it's forced us to be adventurous and make new memories in OUR new city. We began to realize how this sleepy little town is actually full of life... and we began to consider it our home. After we got engaged, we knew my lease was going to be up soon and it was time to look for a true home - a house - where we could put down our roots. After a LOT of searching, we found a house that we both loved. I'll be moving in in about a month (get ready for some interior decorating posts!) and Chris will finish out his lease at his apartment and move in once we're married. After living in small apartments for the past ten years, we can't wait to finally have a driveway and a backyard for Winnie to run around in. We are both over the moon excited, even the smallest things like having an extra guest bedroom for our family and friends to stay in, feels like a huge blessing.

The point of all this is to let you guys know how much we appreciate you, and how excited we are to share this next chapter of our lives with you. Many of you have been here for me since the beginning, through the good and bad times, and it brings tears to my eyes to think of how supportive you've been throughout the years. I've said this in the past, but I consider you guys to be my real-life friends and a very valuable part of my life.

Anyway, on to the fun part. SORRY for making y'all wait so long to find out the giveaway winners, haha!!
