Transitional Booties

Dolce Vita cut-out booties, regular version of Dolce Vita booties HERE
Chanel handbag, similar HERE // MAC lipstick in "syrup"

One of my favorite retailers has always been Nordstrom Rack (no surprise there since you know I'm a huge Nordstrom lover!). If you haven't visited their website, you're seriously missing out. Thousands of designer items, all marked down to incredibly low prices.... For instance, they have a huge selection of AG jeans (my favorite brand) and a ton of designer handbags all on major sale. I went in the store the other day and found these Dolce Vita cut-out booties that are absolutely perfect for transitioning into fall! I paired them with a floral peasant blouse and jeans for an autumn-inspired look.

By the way, I actually wasn't sweating my butt off for these photos! We took a day trip to Blowing Rock this past Friday and it was 70 DEGREES there! I can hardly breathe outside in Winston Salem, but the weather in the mountains was absolutely perfect. I'm dying to go back :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

Here Comes the Sun

tan faux leather handbag // Here Comes the Sun hat, more hats here

Have you guys ever shopped at ModCloth? I love their affordable clothing, accessories and even home decor. The off-shoulder dress I'm wearing in these photos is right up my alley - it's a really high-quality material in person (I'm wearing a size small). And how about these cute llace-up heels - they are only $16!!! SIXTEEN! I have been needing a new pair of black shoes, and these are my new favorite. Also, be sure to check out Modcloth's selection of office decor - they have really cute notebooks and pencils that I just ordered for my office!

What are you guys up to this weekend? I'm taking a day trip to the mountains to try to escape the heat - North Carolina's heat index has been over 100 degrees this entire week and it's difficult to even breathe outside. It's supposed to be in the low 70s in the mountains today so I'm excited to just get to enjoy the cool air for a while!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Neutrals + #NSale Items Have Been Restocked!

thermal top (less than $50), also love THIS ONE from the #Nsale // white pants
David Yurman link bracelet, cuff bracelet // Celine sunglasses, similar HERE

I don't know what it is, but I've been really into neutrals lately! They look so "grown up" versus the bright colors and tassels that I've been wearing most of summer (don't get me wrong, though, I still love my tassels!). This thermal top is a steal for less than $50 and is SO COZY I've been wearing it all around my apartment, even in pajama pants. :) I like it paired with white pants, but you could also wear it with jeans or even shorts.

Also really quickly I just wanted to let you know that my two favorite pairs of jeans from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale have been fully restocked - this dark wash pair and this distressed pair. Both sold out really quickly so if you want them act fast (FYI you can always return them for free, Nordstrom includes a return shipping label in the package). They are SO cute on - and designer jeans hardly ever go on sale! If you want to see how I styled the jeans, check out this post and this one. :)

I hope everyone has a great Thursday! Chris and I finished another three episodes of "Stranger Things" on Netflix last night... boy we are obsessed. We are dying to see the last two now!

YouTube Video: Everyday Makeup Routine

A few weeks ago I promised that a YouTube video on my "everyday makeup routine" would be coming soon. I'm not very good on camera haha, but hopefully you can get more of a feel for the products I use! Also FYI I'm using a few brand new products in this video - the Sigma blush and the Anastasia brow pomade - but everything else you'll recognize from this makeup post. I don't wear this much makeup every day (especially when I'm running errands around town), but I do apply this for blog/instagram photos.

Cold Shoulder Transition Dress

BP cold shoulder dressthis one is apart of the #NSale, also love THIS green one
YSL lipstick in "tropical pink"

Lately things have been selling out on Nordstrom's website before I can blink an eye! So I apologize, y'all, this cold shoulder dress doesn't have much left in stock. There are a lot of cold shoulder options out there, though, including THIS really pretty green one! I love a good cold shoulder dress, especially for transitioning into fall. The colors olive green and burgundy are really speaking to me right now! Haha. :)

Chris and I started watching the show "Stranger Things" on Netflix last night and now we are HOOKED! Has anyone seen it? Each episode is about an hour long and last night we watched three in a row (and I skipped the Bachelorette). If you like scary/suspenseful movies, you have to watch it!!!

xoxo

Off Shoulder Ruffle Top...

I loved this floral print ruffle top when I saw it on the website because it reminded me of fall... but it's still wearable in the summer! It's made of a really light, breathable material and would look so cute with jean shorts or white shorts. I'm wearing it with jeans specifically because I wanted to wear these wedge booties I bought from the Nordstrom sale haha! I owned last year's version and wore them to DEATH last year, so I knew I wanted this year's version too. They are so comfortable because they're wedges! The website says they run small, but I ordered my normal size and they were a perfect fit.

This weekend was so much fun... We went to Raleigh for one of our friend's weddings, so I got to see a bunch of our friends, including my best friend since the third grade. It was an outdoor wedding, though, and it was H-O-T! What did y'all do this weekend?!

P.S. Tell me what you bought from the Nordstrom Sale!! I wanna hear!
