Off Shoulder Sweater in San Francisco

off shoulder sweater, also here // Charlotte Russe jeans (sold out), similar HERE
leopard heels, more colors HERE // Chanel earrings, more here
Michele watch // similar turquoise ring // Celine handbag, similar and more affordable HERE

It's no secret that I love off shoulder tops during the summer... so I was ecstatic to find this slouchy sweater that was perfect for the cooler temperatures in San Fran. I'm not going to lie, the weather there had me craving fall already!! The blistering heat back home makes me long for fall leaves, hot drinks from Starbucks and a crisp in the air. Although, I would like summer to stick around a little longer so I can continue to wear these leopard heels ;)

I hope everyone has a great Thursday! I've been trying to get back into my pure barre routine this week and I am SO SORE. I took a few weeks off while I was traveling and I am regretting it now!

Healthy Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps

First of all, I'm SO SORRY it has taken me so long to get this recipe post up! When I did my "What I Eat in a Day" post a few weeks ago, I had an overwhelming amount of comments and emails from you guys requesting this healthy chicken salad recipe. I make a huge batch of this chicken salad at the beginning of the week and then eat it for lunch every day - it will last several days in the refrigerator. The best part is that it's FULL of flavor and yet still really healthy, since I use plain Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise and substitute lettuce wraps for the bread (although it would be equally delicious with bread). My mom was in Winston last week and I made her some for lunch... she said it was better than any restaurant version she's ever had!

Scroll down to the bottom of the post for the recipe. Enjoy!

Healthy Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps Recipe
- 1 lb cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced apple (any kind! pick your favorite)
- 2/3 cup grapes, halved (I like red grapes, but green would be good too)
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Kosher salt and black pepper
- Head of lettuce for the lettuce cups

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. (I usually cook the chicken on my George Foreman while I'm measuring out the other ingredients. When it's fully cooked, I'll shred the chicken and then combine everything together.) Add salt and pepper, to taste. Scoop chicken salad into lettuce cups.

This will make enough for me to eat 3 to 4 lunches per week. If you're making this chicken salad for a large group of people, I recommend doubling the recipe.

Please let me know how you like it!!

Pleated Midi Skirt

white tank (a staple in my closet!) // pleated midi skirt, also love THIS one
strappy sandals // Chanel handbag, similar and more affordable HERE and HERE

This was one of my favorite looks from San Francisco! I love girly/feminine looks, and this pleated midi skirt paired with a white tank was the perfect combination. (P.S. I re-wear this white tank over and over again - I get a size U.S. 2) Neutral accessories and some fun cat eye sunglasses completed the outfit! If you're looking for a good dupe for this Chanel bag, I linked a couple of similar ones above.

This past weekend was spent celebrating one of my very best friend's bachelorette parties! She has a GORGEOUS lake house and we spent all weekend laying out, relaxing and having girl talk. When I got back last night, my boyfriend and I ordered a bunch of pizza (my guilty pleasure is deep dish cheese!). So all in all, it was a pretty perfect weekend :) How was yours?!

Friday Favorites (+ What Bra I Wear with Strapless Tops!)

Hey friends! Sorry for the late post today... I am still on California time!

Let's jump right into Friday Favorites this week. First up, I am loving anything with black and white spots (known as dalmatian print). I received a bunch of questions about my dalmatian printed shower curtain as seen in the below photos (get it HERE, if you don't mind bigger dots, THIS ONE is for a much better price).

The shower curtain is my absolute favorite! I also ordered dalmatian print coasters and a coffee mug from the same company. You can see a bunch more dalmatian printed products here. I have a bunch of interiors pinned on this Pinterest board with dalmatian prints if you want to see some other ways to incorporate it into your home!

Speaking of black and white prints, I've also been incorporating them into my outfits recently. This look might be my very favorite from this season...

yellow tank // black and white skirt // Chloe Drew bag // Steve Madden Carrson heels

I don't think I've ever worn anything like this! The yellow top paired with the black and white skirt is unexpected, summery, and just adorable. I want to wear it every day of summer.

Next, I found an amazing Chloe dupe that just got put on clearance! It comes in black, tan and red - and for only $12.48, how can you resist?!

Chloe Drew bag ($1,850) vs. Chloe Drew bag dupe ($12.48)

My Chloe Drew bag is hands down the handbag I use the most - it's so easy to grab and go, and fits everything I need inside. Since it's a neutral, it goes with every outfit.

Okay, this is a question I get asked ALL THE TIME but it's a little bit... awkward?! Haha! As you probably know, I wear a lot of spaghetti straps, off-shoulder and one-shouldered outfits, and you guys always ask about my bra! This one from Target is the BEST.

It's only $16.99 from Target (order online here). I buy a new one every few months, but you can re-wear them tons (just make sure to wash with warm water and soap and let it sit out to dry when you're done wearing it). It stays on extremely well, even in the summer heat, and allows you to wear backless dresses and strapless tops. Since it's nude, it's disguised even under white tops. It's seriously a miracle bra.

And finally... there's one new trend I'm loving - can you guess it?! One shouldered tops/dresses!

I think it all started with this dress... I have since been obsessed. It's one of the big trends for summer so keep your eyes peeled for more one shouldered items!

Happy Friday, everyone! Stay tuned for next week... I have some new healthy recipes comin' your way!

What to Wear on July 4th

Topshop gingham dress (sold out), love THIS dress // nude strappy heels, also love THESE (on sale!)
Chanel handbag, similar and more affordable HERE and HERE // similar earrings

July 4th is one of my very favorite holidays all year... sunshine, cookouts, hot dogs, fireworks, tan lines, and friends and family are just a few of my favorite parts. This year I'm really loving anything gingham print, and it's perfect for a July 4th cookout! The dress I'm wearing is sold out, but there are a ton of great options on Nordstrom's website... I love this gingham dress and this one too. I kept my accessories neutral with a nude handbag and heels. It would be really easy to dress this down for a cookout - just wear flat sandals!

If you're still looking for a July 4th outfit, check out Nordstrom for free shipping and returns. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts mid-July and I'll have the complete "guide" to shopping the sale once it starts (so check back here!).

Speaking of July 4th, I have no idea what my family is doing this year - we don't have plans yet! Last year I spent it at the beach and it was wonderful. What are your plans?!

*Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post
