Sparkle in the New Year

Outfit: top // skirt // tights // similar booties

If you've been following my blog for long, you may know that David Yurman jewelry has held a piece of my heart for a long time now. Their jewelry is so classic and so high-quality, I wear their pieces every single day, with every single outfit. In fact my first David Yurman piece, that means the most to me, is this simple ring that my boyfriend surprised me with for my 24th birthday. I still wear it every single day (you will probably recognize it from many of my blog posts!). Whether you're looking for a new statement piece, like this Chatelaine Ring in garnet, or you're looking for a simple bracelet that you can wear with your watch every day, David Yurman has it all. This post is sponsored by David Yurman, but you can take a look at my other blog posts to realize that I truly do love their jewelry and wear it every day :)

As for the outfit, I think this would be a perfect option for a more casual NYE! I wore this look in Tahoe and it was FREEZING outside, hence the warm booties and hat. It would also be cute with stilettos! And speaking of NYE, what are everyone's plans?! A group of us are going to an event in Charlotte... I'm excited but I've been traveling so much recently that I would almost rather have a quiet night in!!

Snow Day

similar white beanie // Louis Vuitton Neverfull, buy pre-owned HERE

Happy Thursday, it's ALMOST the weekend! This look was one I wore in Lake Tahoe a couple days ago... I bought this Patagonia puffer jacket from one of the shops in Tahoe and was so glad I did. It's really, really lightweight but keeps you warm at the same time.

Sorry for the late post today, we traveled home from Tahoe yesterday and it was one of the longest travel days of my life! Aside from the 12 hours we spent on a plane or in the airport, I also had to go pick up Winnie in Charlotte and then drive two hours back to Winston. So I slept in a little this morning! It feels so good to be home. Today will involve a lot cleaning (my apartment is a wreck) and some snuggle time with Winnie... and then tonight, Chris and I are finally going to celebrate our Christmas together!

Hot Pink Puffer Vest

I wore this outfit our first day in Lake Tahoe (before the blizzard!) - I looooove this hot pink puffer vest from Neiman Marcus Last Call, and it's an extra 40% off right now! The same vest also comes in black, which I'm also tempted to buy (yes, I have a shopping problem haha!). Neiman Marcus Last Call is having an amazing after-Christmas sale right now... take an extra 40% off all women's apparel and men's. Plus free shipping when you spend $99 with code LCSHIP

Today is our last full day in Lake Tahoe and although I've loved spending time with my family, I'm sooo ready to get home and see both Chris and Winnie (my pup!). I made an album on my phone of solely Winnie's pictures and whenever I start missing her I look at the album. For the first couple of days  away from her I would cry just from looking at her pictures (my brother loves making fun of me for that, haha). I'm so afraid she's going to forget that I'm her mom!!!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day!

Christmas in Lake Tahoe

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! This Christmas was definitely unusual for my family... we flew to Lake Tahoe to meet up with my brother and spent Christmas day in a hotel room. No presents were exchanged, and our Christmas morning breakfast was a room service meal lol. Very unusual, but at the same time it was very meaningful to spend Christmas all together (I have mentioned this before but my brother lives in Japan so we haven't seen him in a year and a half!). It feels like barely any time has passed since we've seen him. My brother has the best sense of humor and has been making us all laugh nonstop!

Another thing I am thankful for this year... a white Christmas! The above photos were taken during midday, but the snow was falling so heavily that you couldn't even see the sun! I just love the chunky knits and these faux fur UGG boots - I can't stop wearing them - they are SO comfortable.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you got for Christmas!!

Casual New Year's Eve Outfit

black tee, similar HERE // black leggings, similar HERE

What are you guys doing for New Year's?! This outfit would be perfect for a casual NYE get-together! I think the accessories make the outfit, and all of the accessories I'm wearing here are from Macy's and by the brand INC International Concepts. If you haven't heard of this brand, the products are trendy, high quality and always affordable. I've already worn these statement rings and black booties a few times since I got them in the mail and I love them! I'd also like to point out this sherpa tie vest 'cause I'm a little obsessed. It looks so cute over dresses, too!! (And it's warm!)

These photos were taken at our resort in Lake Tahoe - my family decided to forgo Christmas and all fly here (including my brother, who is currently living in Japan) to spend time with each other. You may remember that my family went last January - we loved it so much and have been dying to come back since then! It's supposed to snow here all through the night and day, we have our fingers crossed for a white Christmas :)
