Camel & Black

I really love floppy hats for the fall (especially to cover up bad hair days) but this two-tone one may be the cutest one I've seen! It's so effortless to throw on but adds an extra dimension to an outfit. Plus I'm really loving the colors camel and black this season. Can we also take a second to talk about these Ivanka Trump shoes? I have been drooling over them forev-errrr. Leopard, cap-toe and T-strap? I'm sold. I don't think Nordstrom carries them in the store (mine doesn't) so if you decide to order, be sure to get a half size smaller than you normally wear!

On another note, does anyone have any good recommendations for books? Completely random, but I've really been into thrillers/mystery novels lately and I would love your suggestions! This book is the best thriller novel I've read to date. It's SO GOOD, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a book to read!

  10. Caitlin,
My dad wrote a book about a serial killer he prosecuted many years ago! It's a true story!

    Here is the description-
In this bold and suspenseful true-crime story, former homicide prosecutor Timothy M. Burke makes his case against one Leonard Paradiso. Lenny “The Quahog” was convicted of assaulting one young woman and paroled after three years, but Burke believes that he was guilty of much more – that Paradiso was a serial killer who operated in the Boston area, and maybe farther afield, for nearly fifteen years, assaulting countless young women and responsible for the deaths of as many as seven. Burke takes the reader inside the minds of prosecutors, police investigators, and one very dangerous man who thought he had figured out how to rape and murder and get away with it.
The Paradiso Files generated headlines when first published in February 2008. Nine days later, Paradiso died at the age of sixty-five without commenting on any of Burke’s accusations, including that he murdered Joan Webster, a Harvard graduate student who disappeared from Logan Airport in 1981. Boston-area prosecutors announced in September 2008 that Burke’s revelations had led them to reopen the unsolved murder cases of three young women – Melodie Stankiewicz, Holly Davidson, and Kathy Williams. There were “too many similarities between the individual cases to ignore,” a prosecutor involved in the new investigation said. Burke’s account leaves little doubt that Paradiso’s deeds should go down in infamy, alongside those of the Boston Strangler.

if you haven't already read gone girl and the other two books by gillian flynn, those are an absolute MUST!! i have heard that dark places is slated to be turned into a movie in the next year or two and that sharp objects will become a television series so you'll want to read them before then!

  39. I have a question about the pants - the link you provide to Nordstrom shows a pair with a seam right above the knee. In your photo, it doesn't appear that there is the same seam. Is it just not visible or there isn't actually such a seam? Thanks!
