I wore this embroidered dress from Chicwish yesterday for a casual Sunday look. When my mom and I happened to drive by this patch of sunflowers we knew we had to get out of the car and take pictures (even if it was in somebody’s front yard – oops!!). Anyways, I do really love this dress… if you take a look at the close-up pictures you can see that the beadwork is very intricate and beautiful! It has two long, beaded tassels that can either hang in the front or tie in the back. I paired it with my GiGi New York clutch in the color iris – which, by the way, is on super sale right now! If you are contemplating buying something from GiGi New York I would right now because of the awesome sales they have going on… great back-to-school shopping!
Anyways, I had THE BEST weekend of my entire life! You know how I said Chris had a “surprise” for me? Well he really got me good. First he took me to a beautiful park in Charlotte and gave me this David Yurman ring as a birthday present (I started crying because I was so surprised/happy and he thought I was upset because I didn’t like it!). Next, he told me that we had reservations at a nice restaurant for dinner that night, but we needed to stop by his friend’s house first to pick up something. Right when we got to the house, Chris pretended to be on the phone and asked me to get the door… and when I opened it, there was a roomful of our friends there to surprise me! I was in shock and shaking for at least 30 minutes… I don’t know how they were all able to pull it off and keep it a secret from me (a huge thank you to my friend Melissa for helping plan everything!) On another note, I am so thankful for Chris and the relationship we have – ladies, do not be discouraged if you don’t find “the One” in college! I was so discouraged in college because of some of the dating relationships I had… but God has a plan for everyone. Please don’t settle for anyone who treats you as less than what you are worth… even if you have to wait a long time for him to come along 🙂

love what you said about it being okay not to find the one in college. i was lucky enough that i did find my huz in college but so often people think that if you graduate without a serious boyfriend or fiance that they are doomed but i know that is not true! i have so many friends who have found great relationships after college, you just have to make sure not to lose hope. so happy for you that you have found chris!
