Sweet Scallops

Have you ever seen a more perfect hem on a dress? I could not be more in love with the scallops and embroidered flowers on this dress from Sail to Sable.. it truly is the perfect summer shift dress. Not to mention, it’s pink! (Yep, I’m going to be 90 years old and still a pink lover.) Anyways, I decided to go truly “southern” with this look by adding pearl bangles, pearl earrings and a monogrammed necklace. Oh and a top knot since my hair needed washing 😉 Sail to Sable has a ton of cute tunics AND if I had a baby girl she would be getting one of these adorable baby tunics!
I’ve been in a bit of a funk for the past few days… my sleep schedule has been really off and I’m having trouble being productive. Not sure why, but I’m hoping I snap out of it soon! If anyone has any tips for making yourself go to bed at a decent hour I’d love to hear!

  2. Love this dress! Amazing color! Try some melatonin! It's a natural supplement that helps you fall asleep. I get that way because the sun sets so late in the summertime. Hope it helps.

  3. Love this dress! Such a cute fit… When I can't sleep I make myself a warm cup of (non-caffeinated) Tea. I grab a book and sip my tea in bed… usually does the trick!

  4. If you drink caffeine, stop drinking it by 2 pm. I read that recently and it has helped me a lot.

  16. I can so relate to the sleeping problem. Although it's very hard, just try and distract your mind from the fact that you can't sleep. It makes it much harder to fall asleep if that is what you're focused on. Also, don't look at a clock. I used to constantly calculate how many hours I had left to sleep and that would just stress me out! Good luck!

  18. Love pink, it's my absolute favorite color to wear. I'd say turning off electronics like a hour before bed really helps me sleep.

Also, I've heard that staying away from false light, like computer or other screen for an hour or so before bed can help you sleep better. I hope you figure something out!

Love the blog! It's not good for my budget, but great for my wardrobe 🙂 For me the most important thing for sleep is to establish a routine and stick to it as much as possible. Pick a bedtime and unless out with friends stick to it. I try to be in bed 30 – 60 minutes prior to read with a bedside lamp as the only light. No laptop, no tv ub the bedroom. Melatonin 5 – 10 mg at bedtime might help.
