Simplify Your Life + Mother’s Day Giveaway

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone! Whether you are a mom or not, we could all benefit by simplifying our lives, right? I know mine gets really busy and complicated, and sometimes I just want to take a break. Here are my top five tips for simplifying your life (with a fun giveaway at the end!).

1. Take time to relax
I have to remind myself to have “me time,” whether that’s taking a bath, reading a book or just getting to bed thirty minutes early. Taking the time to relax can refresh your mind and help you feel more productive when you do get back to work.

2. Say No
I have a problem with this! I say yes to everything because I don’t want to disappoint people… then my schedule gets packed and I get stressed out. The older I’ve gotten, the more I realized that it is beneficial to me to say “no” to people. I can’t please everyone, and I shouldn’t try!

3. Don’t be overly sensitive
Okay I have a problem with this too! I am a very emotional person… I cry during sad commercials! I have had to learn how to have a thicker skin and to not let things get to me. Wouldn’t life be so much easier if we didn’t get upset over the small things?

4. Downsize your closet
One of the best ways to simplify your life is to simplify your belongings. I love to shop, but every time I buy something new I try to get rid of something I have. I usually donate my old clothing and shoes to Goodwill because it helps someone in need.

5. Make your own definition of success
Do not compare yourself to others to measure your success. I try to measure my success by my own milestones and accomplishments, not by comparing myself to others. When I do compare myself to others, it only makes me feel terrible about myself! You should strive to define your own successes and set your own goals, instead of measuring yourself against others.

  1. ABORTION?

Are unborn humans, babies or just unidentified blobs of matter?

Genesis 25:21-22 Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 But the children struggled together within her……

They were called children. They were not fetuses or blobs of matter.

Luke 1:41,44 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb…..44….the baby leaped in my womb for joy.

John The Baptist leaped for joy. There was no non-human fetus leaping for joy inside the womb of Elizabeth.

The unborn, are babies. There is never a valid reason for killing unborn babies.

  7. I whole heartedly agree with all five of these because I am the same way- too quick to say yes to something, too quick to get upset, and too easily compare my success to others! Great tips Caitlin!
