Daily Makeup Routine

one // This is my first step each day in my skincare routine. My skin is super dry in the winter, but can get oily in the summer, and Philosophy’s hope in a jar is the perfect moisturizer for my skin all year long. Since this product is completely oil-free, it moisturizes your skin without making your face feel slick (which I hate). It’s also very gentle, so it’s perfect for sensitive skin!
two // After moisturizing, I wait a few minutes and apply Benefit’s fakeup under my eyes to erase dark circles. It has a built-in moisturizer to keep your skin soft while it conceals, and contains vitamin E to help diffuse fine lines.
three // My mom bought me Smith’s Minted Rosebud Salve for Christmas and I love it! It has a fresh, minty flavor and makes my lips really soft. I usually let it soak in for a few minutes before applying lipstick.
four // For my main foundation, I apply It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation in the shade “fair” with this foundation brush. I LOVE this makeup and makeup brush – my mom got me hooked on both. The foundation is very natural and gives my face a matte look. The makeup brush is just phenomenal… it’s so smooth and soft and it’s actually relaxing to apply foundation with it!
five // I have used Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer for the past several years, simply because it hasn’t run out yet! The compact comes with a lighter and darker shade of bronzer, but I have never used the darker shade (it’s too dark for my skin). However the lighter shade is very natural and gives the perfect “glow.”
six // For blush, I use Bobbi Brown blush in the shade “nude pink.” I have tried several different blushes (including a lot of NARS ones), and this is the best I have found. It’s the perfect soft pink color for winter or summer. I use it year-round!
seven // I always get questions about my eyelashes – and this mascara is the reason! I have been using L’Oreal Double Extend for the past several months and am obsessed. It has primer on one side and black mascara on the other – the primer makes all the difference in the world! This mascara can be found at any drug store and is also easy to take off with water or makeup remover, another plus!
eight // I use Jane Iredale’s eye highlighter pencil to finish off my makeup every day. I apply the white pencil to the inside of my eyes for a brightening effect. I think it really opens up my eyes and gives me a fresh faced look (even in the early morning when my eyes are still half open!).

  5. Omg, I love rosebud salve! πŸ™‚ My daily makeup routine is similar as it's basically foundation, bronzer, blush, mascara… although everything I use is liquid because I have dryer skin. I use Clinique's moisturizer but I'll have to try Hope in a Jar at some point, I've heard great things about it πŸ™‚

I love Bobbi Brown blush (and that makeup line in general). I use Desert Pink right now and really like the color, but think I might try a lighter/fresher shade when I run out. The Nude Pink looks perfect!

  16. As a beauty lover, it's crazy to me that I've only tried one of your go to products! Not surprised it's the lip balm though… pretty sure I've tried them all. Once I use up some stuff I'll have to try some of these out.

  18. I have heard good things about that Hope in a Jar, and I've been searching for a good winter moisturizer. I wish it had SPF but maybe I just need to add that in the winter months instead of doing a combo product like I do in the summer.
