Two Funny Girls + GIVEAWAY

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I spent a wonderful Friday night in Winston Salem with some of my best college friends, then headed to Charlotte Saturday to spend time with my family. We had a cookout and then headed to Sweet Frog, my family's favorite frozen yogurt place. I was even able to talk my mom into taking some pictures with me ;)

How gorgeous is this top from {Fash Forward Boutique}? I wore it out to dinner on Saturday, but it's definitely a top I would go out in. The cut-outs are SO fun, but it's still such a classy look!

And don't even get me started on my mom's pink pants. I'm OBSESSED. My mom was wary of wearing neon pink - she thought they were too bright for a mom, but I think the opposite! Anyone can wear these pants, if you know how to style them. I love how she paired them with a simple white top and a matching pink necklace.

{J.Crew top/similar}{pink skinny jeans}{white watch}{michael kors bag/similar}{nude wedges

The title of this post is "Two Funny Girls" not because of me and my mom (although we are known for our goofy sense of humor), but rather because that's the company that makes this gorgeous monogrammed envelope clutch! If you haven't seen these clutches before, you can check them out {here}. They come in more than ten different colors and a few different monogram styles and colors as well!

And todayyy is your lucky day! Two Funny Girls is giving away a monogrammed clutch to one of my readers! Enter through the Rafflecopter widget below. :)

Friday Fives

Hello loves! It's Friday, and you know what that means... time for Friday Fives!

1. Please order these shoes.

When Emily at {The Sweetest Thing} posted about {these shoes} from Torrid, I knew I had to get them. They look just like a pair of Valentino's that I've been dying over - of course, without the crazy expensive price tag. They fit true-to-size, so order your normal size!

Here's how I styled them for work this week:

2. DIY gold vases

Isn't this {DIY gold vase} just precious? I am currently looking for ways to decorate my apartment without spending a lot of money. This craft seems super easy, but look incredibly chic.

3. New Arm Candy

I picked up this white chain link bracelet from J.Crew last weekend. It was on sale, plus 25 percent off of the sale price. I just couldn't resist!

I also picked up this perfect, simple tunic.

{contrast trim tunic}

4. Clean Eating

If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that I'm a huge proponent of clean eating - eating as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible and limiting processed foods. The company I work for recently signed up for a Farm to Table program that delivers fresh vegetables from a local farm each week. This was yesterday's delivery: zucchini, cucumbers, blueberries, green tomatoes and potatoes. I am so excited to eat healthy all week long!

This is another example of "clean eating" - one of my breakfast smoothies from this week. This one had 1/4 cup of organic cherry juice, 1/4 cup coconut water, 1 tsp chia seeds and 1 cup of frozen berries. Delish!

5. Blogger friends!

I recently met up with Megan from {For All Things Lovely} for a coffee and dinner date. Is she not the cutest thing ever? She is so sweet in person and seriously has THE best style. If you're not following her, you need to be! Oh and look out for a blog collab in the coming weeks ;)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm headed to Winston Salem after work to meet up with some of my sorority sisters from college. Does anyone have any fun plans?

Tortoise Sunnies Collab

Today I'm teaming up with two of my favorite bloggers to feature how we wear our Anthro tortoise sunnies!
Emily from {The Sweetest Thing} and Amy from {Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins} both have the best style and I love how they make these sunnies look so chic.

A funny story about these sunglasses... Emily and I had both been looking everywhere for a pair of Karen Walker look-alikes. One day I get an email from Emily saying that she had found a pair on Anthropologie's website and she had called multiple stores to find a pair in stock. To my luck, there were a few pairs left at the Greenville Anthropologie... so I drove there on my lunch break and snatched them up that day! (And since then, she's been my hero...)

Anyways, for this look I've paired classic tortoise colors (black and brown) with some pops of neon pink. Enjoy!

And that's a wrap. Be sure to check out Emily's and Amy's blogs to see how they styled their sunnies!

Weekend Re-Cap

Hello loves!

For today's post, I thought I'd share a few photos from this weekend :)

First off, how gorgeous is this {name bar necklace} from Swoozie's? It was a complete surprise, and I almost fainted when I got it in the mail. It is so dainty and sweet, I honestly don't think I'll ever take it off.

Secondly, on Saturday I received my order of {sprinkled joy straws}! Aren't they adorable? I swear drinking from a pretty straw makes everything taste better, even water. (Fun fact about me: I hate water!) I can't wait to use them in all my summer cocktails and smoothies.

Yesterday was also mine and my boyfriend's sixth month anniversary. He brought over these gorgeous pink roses...

Here's what I wore to dinner:

I found this {knit tunic dress} at J.Crew on the sale rack. It was majorly marked down and was 25 percent off of the markdown price! I love white dresses in the summer... they show off a tan and let you have fun with accessories. Last night I paired it with simple brown and black accessories, my {Target wedges} that I adore, and of course my new necklace!

We headed to {High Cotton} for dinner... a swanky restaurant with great views and even better food! Kind of cheesy but here's us at dinner. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was amazing!

Did anyone do anything exciting this weekend?!

Fourth of July + A Giveaway!

I don't know about you guys, but the Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. I've always loved dressing in red, white and blue and celebrating with my family and friends. I would love nothing more than to spend the day at the pool and host a cookout in the evening, followed by a trip to go see fireworks.

When I saw this {red seersucker dress} from LaMaLu Boutique, I knew it was the perfect dress for this holiday!

Red seersucker, an open back and a big bow are just a few of the reasons I love this dress.

Annnd, you're in luck! {LaMaLu Boutique} is hosting a Fourth of July sale!
You can get 10 percent off your order with the code "4THOFJULY."

But you know what's even better than a discount? A giveaway, of course. LaMaLu Boutique is giving away $25 gift cards to two lucky winners! Enter the giveaway using the Rafflecopter widget below.

P.S. These photos were taken by my sweet, sweet boyfriend!
This was his first "photography gig," but I think he could be a model himself ;)

Friday Fives.

Hello loves!

Whew. It's been a bit of a rough week for me. I'm getting over a nasty stomach bug that has been going around our office. I even took a half-day on Thursday to recuperate and treated myself to a Panera frozen mocha to make myself feel better (...note to self: this did not help my addiction to their frozen mochas!).

I have a lot to look forward to this weekend. I have a little photoshoot planned for a fabulous post about July 4th outfits, annnd it's mine and the boy's six month anniversary on Saturday!
But it's Friday (woohoo) and without further ado, here are my Friday Fives:

1. Introducing {RMC Jewelry} Boutique!

I'm in love with this online boutique... they have the cutest jewelry, scarves and maxi dresses for incredibly affordable prices. I've been rocking their accessories all week long!

2. Healthy peanut butter chocolate balls

I made these Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls from the blog {Eat Yourself Skinny} and they are simply amazing. They're also incredibly healthy! You all know I'm a fan of clean eating, and these balls are gluten-free, sugar-free and vegan... but you could never tell by the taste. I've been eating them for breakfast each morning with a side of fresh fruit. You probably already have these ingredients on hand and they only take ten minutes to make!

3. That moment when your favorite item gets back in stock...

Pure jubilee = how I felt when I got the email that Baublebar's {iced gold lariat necklace} was back in stock! I immediately placed my order. Y'all. I die over this necklace. It's from blogger Courtney Kerr's collection and I can't wait to wear it with every single outfit I own.

3. Gingham style

I'm loving gingham more than ever lately. It's such a preppy, summery print and it looks great on everyone. I dressed this shirt up for work, but it would be equally as cute with a pair of jean shorts or white pants. The possibilities are endless!

5. A good book

I am an avid reader and absolutely love to get lost in a good novel. I recently started reading {The American Heiress} because I heard it was very similar to the popular TV show Downton Abbey. I'm about a third of the way through the book right now and it has me hooked! I've been reading it before I go to bed at night and I've even been waking up early to sneak in a few pages before work.

If you're in search of the perfect pool or beach read, this is it!

Does anyone have any good books to recommend? I'll be looking for a new read once I finish this one!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Beach Bag Essentials

Happy Wednesday, loves!

A few weeks ago I guest posted about my beach essentials on Emily's blog {all you need is love}... but I thought I would post it again today for those of you who missed it. You all know how much I love the beach!

My first beach bag essential is, well, a cute beach bag! I'm in love with {this Kate Spade one} which is incredibly cute but also roomy enough to hold all of your beach stuff.

These {ava tortie shades} are my favorite purchase this summer. They look very similar to a Karen Walker pair of sunnies I've had my eye on, but without the $300 price tag! And this {summer straw hat} is key to feeling glam on the beach. I like to protect my face from the sun so I don't get wrinkles later in life (don't worry, I use self-tanner to avoid looking like a ghost!).

{Sunscreen} is essential to avoid sunburn, but don't forget those lips! I'm obsessed with {supergoop lip balm} with SPF 30. If you've ever had your lips burned before, it is NOT fun! This lip balm feels great on my lips and also protects them from the harsh UV rays.

A {comb} and {detangling spray} are necessary if I don't want my hair to end up in a tangled mess.

My monogrammed {tervis tumbler} is my best friend at the beach. I fill it up with ice water, lemonade or smoothies to keep cool and hydrated in the sun. I love the Crystal Light raspberry lemonade packets!

And finally, I need something to keep my mind occupied while I'm laying on the beach. I bring along my Nook for some light reading and a book of puzzles! Yes, I am a nerd - I looove doing puzzles on the beach. Word games, sudoku, picture games, there is nothing more relaxing to me that working on a puzzle while I'm laying in the sun.

You know what else I've added to my list? These adorable monogrammed beach cup holders. A MUST have!

I know this {etsy shop} carries them, as does {swoozie's}!

I may just have to get myself one. Or five.

What are your beach essentials?

Under the Sea

Doesn't this dress just remind you of the ocean?

When I saw this {Under the Sea} dress at Fiore, I decided I could not live without it.

You all know I've been semi-obsessed with nautical things lately, and this dress is no exception. The split sleeves are sexy but still tasteful.

Since I don't have any vacation time for a while, I guess I'll just have to dress like I'm on vacation instead!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday. I will be stopping by Starbucks this morning for a Frappuccino. Super tired! Last week was SO busy at work. I'm hoping this week will be a little more relaxed. :)

Love,
Cait
