Healthy Quinoa Pizza Bites

Hey loves!

As some of you may know, I've been on a huge health kick lately. (I think it may have something to do with bathing suit season coming up!) I've been going to classes at the YMCA near my house and making a conscious effort to cut out sugar and incorporate more whole foods into my diet.

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite healthy snacks of all time. These Quinoa Pizza Bites taste completely indulgent (seriously... JUST like pizza!) but they are really freakin' healthy. Each one has less than 50 calories!

Healthy Quinoa Pizza Bites

Ingredients:
-1/2 cup uncooked quinoa (or a quinoa/brown rice blend)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup fat free shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- Dash of salt

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Combine quinoa with one cup of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for around 15 to 20 minutes (or until the quinoa is tender and has absorbed most of the water).

2. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl until well mixed.

3. Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray and using a spoon, divide mixture evenly among muffin tins.

4. Cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden on top.

5. Let cool and dig in - don't forget the pizza sauce for dipping!

This recipe makes up 12 pizza bites, which is quite a lot. You can refrigerate them and eat them later as a snack or a light lunch, and they really are amazing. I LOVE pizza, but it's not exactly a bikini-friendly food. These pizza bites taste just like the real thing - without all the guilt!

NARS Makeup Review

Hey loves!

I recently ordered some NARS makeup products from {Apothica}. This was my first time trying any products from the NARS and I was really excited - I had heard so many great things about this brand.

First up, I ordered NARS Pure Matt Lipstick in {carthage}. This bright, super-rich lipstick is a little bit shocking at first. The first time I put it on, I felt like it might be too overpowering. However after a few hours of wear, I decided I loved it!

This lipstick contains wild mango butter, which is incredibly moisturizing.
I added a little bit of clear gloss on top for some shine.

I also love the packaging. This slim tube would easily fit in a clutch or in your pocket!

When I picked this hot pink hue out, I had summer in mind. I can just imagine what it will look like with a tan!
The conclusion on this one? 9 out of 10

Next up, I ordered NARS blush in {orgasm}. There's so much hype about this product on the internet, I was anxious to see if it lived up to its reputation as the perfect universal blush.

The verdict? It's very pretty natural-looking peachy color.
It's also incredibly subtle... even after I applied it, I couldn't really tell that I had added any color to my face.

I do think this NARS blush is a pretty color that would look good on many different skin types, but I'm actually a bigger fan of Bobbi Brown's blush in {nude pink}. It's a little bit of a brighter, softer pink that gives my cheeks more of a glow.

The conclusion on NARS blush in orgasm? 7 out of 10. I do love it, but there are other blush colors I love even more.

Have any of you used NARS products before? What are your favorites?

Bling Bling

{one}{two}
{five}{six}

Lately I've been loving statement necklaces with lots of sparkle. These brightly colored jewels are perfect for this upcoming spring! For now, pair them with a collared shirt or a simple top.

I love how Jade (my favorite instagrammer!) styled this J.Crew necklace with pink lips and a mint blouse:

And I love the layered look here:

Which one is your favorite?

Friday Fives

Hey loves!

It's Friday {insert happy dance here}. What are some things I'm loving this week?

1.  The fact that bathing suit season is almost here!

I knew I wanted to order a bikini to help motivate me to get in shape, but I was having a dilemma between the two pictured above. I LOVE all the fringe bikinis from L*Space, but I had to do some quick photoshopping to figure out which one I'd look better in (haha). I ended up going with the {left bikini} instead of the {right one}.

I'm going to hang this baby up in my room to remind me every day to eat healthy and work out every day!

2. Styling this necklace

I told y'all I bought {this necklace} last week, and I simply can't get enough of it.
This is how I styled it for work with this {boy shirt} from J.Crew.

3. Scalloped tops

I'm so into scallops right now (not the edible kind, yuck).

I'm in LOVE with this {mint scalloped tank} from L.Mae Boutique!

And this {navy scalloped tank} is sold out in smalls at Red Dress Boutique. If anyone can track this down, I would hand over my first born for this shirt!!!! Seriously swooning over the open back.

4. Stell & Dot Look-alike

{This bracelet} is on GroopDealz today for $10.99 (shipping included)! It looks just like the Stella & Dot {renegade bracelet} which retailes for $60. I already ordered mine... go ahead and order yours too because they're going quickly!

5. RSVP Greenville

Greenville girls, check out {RSVP Greenville}! My fashionista friend started this blog to compliment those who host and toast in Greenville, SC. This little socialite goes to all the hottest parties in Greenville and takes pictures of the best dressed. Go visit her and say hi! :)

Happy Friday everyone!

WILW... Valentine's Edition

Hey friends!

It's been a while since I've done a "WILW." So let's jump to it! {Warning, everything I'm loving either revolves around V-day or is pink/red!} This week, I'm loving...

1. This necklace

When I saw this {beaded rose necklace} at J.Crew the other day, I couldn't help but try it on. BIG MISTAKE. Cause after trying it on, I knew it was coming home with me! I like to think of it as my Valentine's Day present to myself. Expect to see it in some future outfit posts for sure.

2. Pops of pink

Maybe it's because Valentine's Day is coming up... or maybe because I've always been a girly girl... but I'm loving the color pink! These outfits are the perfect inspiration for Valentine's. I love how each outfit pairs a pop of pink with a pretty bling necklace.

3. This recipe

How cute are these mini red velvet milkshakes? Red velvet is one of my favorite cake flavors, so I can only imagine how amazing these are in ice cream form. YUM!

4. This beauty product

Bobbi Brown's {nude pink} is the best blush I've ever found. It lends a perfect rosy pink to my cheeks that's insanely gorgeous. I have fair skin, but this pink would work on anyone! It brightens your complexion and gives off a pretty glow. Obsessed.

5. Valentine's goodies

On a trip to Target the other day, I picked up {Essie mod squad} as well as some goodies from the dollar section. How cute are these {lipstick pens}, lip clips and chevron notepad? Obsessed!

What is everyone doing tomorrow for V-Day?
Hope you all are having a great week, filled with lots of pink and red! :)

Glitter heart mani tutorial

Hello loves!

For this mani, you will need:

A base color, a metallic color, a glitter polish, annnd washi tape!

I used:

{one} Fold your washi tape in half and cut out half a heart.

{two} When you open up the washi tape, it will be in the shape of a heart! Place on the nail you wish to paint and press firmly to make sure all edges are flat.

{three} Using the metallic polish, paint over the heart. You want to use the metallic polish first to fill in all of the shape, since the glitter polish can't do this! Let this polish dry for one minute.

{four} Apply the glitter polish over the heart. Don't be afraid to use a lot so that you get enough glitter!

{five} Peel back the washi tape immediately and let your nail dry.

I love this for Valentine's Day! But then again, I'm always up for gold glitter ;)

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Will you be my Valentine?

Clockwise:

Who's ready for hearts, kisses and lots of pink?
Me-me-me-me!

At least my fingers are...

My sweet friend {Taylor} gave me these adorable rings from {Fiore boutique}.
Greenville girls, go get you some before they all get gone!

What's your favorite part about Valentine's Day?
(My personal fave is the heart-shaped candy!)
