You're a stud.

{one}{two}
{five}{six}
{seven}{eight}

Sometimes all you need to dress up an outfit is a pair of classy stud earrings.

I am obsessed with every single one... but see the pair of red heart studs by Tory Burch (above)? I'm praying a little Cupid gets me these for Valentine's Day! ;)

I bought {these round studs} over the weekend! I LOVE how simple they are... they go with any outfit.

Happy Wednesday :)

Peanut butter, Chocolatey Goodness

Like my title? I came up with that one all by myself (har har)...
because that's exactly what came to mind when I made these babies!

Let's start with the back story first. My favvvvorite, favorite lunch spot here in Greenville is a little place called {Two Chefs}.
I go here weekly for their pimento cheese on rye sandwich, their delicious daily soups, and... drumroll please...
their peanut butter rice krispies.

These little charming treats have become my addiction... and my downfall. These squares are literally the size of my face, with chocolate chips and mounds of peanut butter stuffed inside. They are amazing... but also detrimental to my bikini diet.

On Saturday, I decided to whip up my own lower-calorie version of my favorite treat.

Peanut Butter Rice Krispies balls
Servings: Approximately 60

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons margarine or butter
4 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Melting chocolate {optional but highly encouraged}

Steps:
1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat
2. Add marshmallows and stir until melted
3. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, stirring until well mixed
4. Add Rice Krispies
5. Let cool for 10 minutes and form into 1-inch balls
6. Melt the chocolate according to directions and dip balls

Each peanut butter krispies ball (without chocolate) has only 60 calories!
With the added chocolate, each one comes out to about 90 calories.

Unless you're like me, and can't eat only a few at a time... Then I suggest bagging them up and handing them out to friends, coworkers, etc!

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Who will be watching Bachelor tonight??

Valentine's Nails + OOTDs

Hey babes!

Lately I've been obsessing over pretty nails for Valentine's Day. After a winter of wearing oxblood and maroon hues on my nails, I'm ready for lighter colors!

These pink shades by Butter London make my heart swoon.
Colors used: {macbeth} and {trout pout}

And I'm head over heels for this glitter polish by Butter London called {rosie lee}.

Whenever I'm in a beauty rut I turn to {the beauty department}, a beauty website by Lauren Conrad and two of her business partners. It's literally amazing. They posted this tutorial last year and I fell in love!

And just LOOK at these. If y'all know me, you know I'm obsessed with leopard. What a fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day by incorporating leopard! ;)

Anddd just because, here are a few OOTDs I instagrammed today and yesterday:

{gold luxe link necklace}

I'm on a MAJOR health kick right now (hello - bathing suit season is coming!) so expect some healthy recipes/get in shape posts in the near future.

Hope everyone is having a great night!

Recent Buys.

Hey friends!

For today's post I thought I would share some of my favorite stores (and recent purchases) with you.
That's always a fun topic, right?!

The boutique {Vestique} recently opened up a store in Greenville and I'm officially obsessed! They have really fun and unique tops and dresses, and they're super affordable. I ordered this dress online:

I'm still waiting for it to come in! How sexy are the off-the-shoulder sleeves? I can't wait to pair it with tights and boots for cold weather and wedges in the spring.

When I saw this clutch in the store, I almost had a heart attack. Perfection.

And finally, I'm loving both the earrings and blouse I picked up at Vestique also!

My blouse is also from Vestique but I couldn't find it on the site.

Another favorite boutique of mine in Greenville is {Fiore}. I found this chevron dress (with cut-out shoulders) a few weeks ago and couldn't resist. I recently wore it to a hockey game with boots and a scarf... the great thing about this dress is that you can dress it up or down! (Please, please don't look at my messy room!)

And finally, another favorite store...

{t&j designs} recently contacted me and I'm SO glad they did - I had never heard of them before and I'm now obsessed with their fabulous jewelry. Especially their chain necklaces and bracelets! Gold chain jewelry matches everything in your closet. Seriously. I have a bracelet and necklace and I'm planning on purchasing even more soon. I can't get enough!

And in case you're wondering, the bangle on the left can be found {here} from the always fabulous Personalized From Me to You!

On another note, I'm so sorry it's been so long since my last post! Things have gotten super, super crazy at work and I've been having to stay late to get everything done. When I get home in the evenings, all I want to do is curl up in bed with a book and a cup of hot cocoa.

Because I don't have as much time to plan posts, are there any topics in particular that you guys would like me to write about? Possible ideas include healthy recipes, hair care, decorating, outfit posts, etc.
Let me know in the comments what you'd like to see more of in the coming weeks!

Love,
Cait

Dreaming of...

Hi loves!

I don't know about y'all, but every single time January rolls around, I start to get extremely tired of bundling up in scarves and coats every time I go outside. Granted, it has been a pretty mild winter so far, but my mind is still far away. I can't help but dream of golden rays of sunshine, suntanned skin and a beach somewhere in the tropics.

If I were headed on a tropical getaway right now (which I'm not...) here's what I would pack!

{gold sandals}{anchor shorts}

Wouldn't you all agree with me if I said shopping for new clothes for a trip is almost as exciting as going on the trip itself?
I get so excited when buying clothes for vacation!

A breezy tunic, a teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini, some fabulous jewelry and retro sunglasses are just a few of the things on my list. Just throw in a few good books and a daiquiri and my life is complete.

So.... who's up for a cheap cruise with me?!

Friday Fives

Happy 2013, frands! I hope you all had a wonderful New Years!

I went to the Snyder Ball at the Charleston Aquarium and had so much fun. And since I had Tuesday off from work, it's seemed like a super short work week (can't beat that!). Here's my Friday Fives for this week...

1. Recent OOTDs

 Herringbone vest, J.Crew

 Pave bracelet from {Groopdealz}

2. These cookies

{via}

I made these {chocolate chip toffee cookies with sea salt} on Monday to bring to Charleston with us and they are AMAZING. Literally, this is the best cookie I think I've ever made or eaten! The sea salt is the perfect addiction of saltiness, and the toffee adds sweetness and chewiness.

Oh my worrrddd, go make these now!

3. Two-toned watches

I am such a sucker for watches. I already have two nice ones, but I've been lusting over two-toned watches for a long time now. I'm so tempted to splurge and get either the {gold/white} or {gold/silver} Michael Kors for myself as a little gift! I'm usually a gold girl all the way, but I love the look of gold and silver together in the watch on the right. What do y'all think?

4. This DIY

{via}

How cute is this DIY jewelry dish by Jeanne of {Shop Sweet Things}? This costs less than $5 and takes less than fifteen minutes to make.... it's actually made using an appetizer plate and black dot stickers! I want to make this ASAP, as soon as I have some free time.

5. Words to live by in 2013

I've decided this quote will be my motto for 2013!

 Oscar Wilde was a brilliant man, and this quote speaks right to my heart. In 2013, I want to live loudly, be brave, take risks. That includes risks with fashion! I love dressing up, and I'm still continuing to define my own style, but if there's one thing I've learned it's that if you want to pull an outfit off, you have to have the confidence first. If you are comfortable and confident in your skin, then it will shine through you and your style.

Secondly, I always want to continue to educate myself (and I'm not talking about going back to school!). You can sharpen your mind and broaden your horizons by reading a book, opening the newspaper, embracing a new hobby or teaching yourself a new language. I never, ever want to stop learning or challenging myself!

Happy weekend, loves!
