This weekend my family took a day trip up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. We didn’t really have a destination in mind, we just wanted to spend some time in the crisp mountain air and catch the leaves in their peak season. We found a couple of gorgeous lakes surrounded by mountains… the scenery was enough to make my jaw drop! It was also about 15 degrees chillier in the mountains, so I was incredibly glad I wore my elle vest from Sugar Love Boutique on this road trip – this vest is so cozy it’s like being wrapped up in a blanket!
And of course, no road trip is complete without Starbucks and fashion mags…
It’s Thursday… which means we’re one day away from Friday! I have a lot of outfit planning to do this weekend. This girl is headed to NYC on Wednesday – ahhhh! More about that later. 😉

I'd show up half asleep in yoga pants and a patagonia! 😉 Fun coincidence.. my boyfriend's family is building a cabin right up by Blue Ridge Parkway! From the looks of your pics, it's a gorgeous area.
