Hair Tutorial

Hi loves!

Here’s the hair tutorial I promised a while ago. I’m a little self conscious in front of the camera (this is my first video!) but hopefully you will learn how I do my hair and can try it out for yourself.

Favorite hair products, all of which can be found at the drugstore (I don’t believe in spending tons of money on hair products!):
I’m a huge fan of deep conditioning my hair. I’ll apply it a couple times per week in the shower, let it soak in my hair while I shave my legs, and then comb it through before washing it out. I swear by L’Oreal’s EverPure deep conditioner – it makes my hair feel baby soft!
Let me know if you have any questions 🙂
Love, Cait

  1. Aww, you're adorable! My hair is about 1/4 the length of yours, but if it was longer, I'd definitely try your method! Hope you're enjoying the beach. 🙂

  2. Cute video girl! I have long hair but it isn't thick or wavy, but I maybe this would work on me! My sisters have the same hair type as you so maybe I will try it on them. 🙂

  3. I have naturally curly hair too! I've been growing it out for a while and it's just past my shoulders. I might have to try this over the weekend!

  4. What a great video, Caitlin. That does take a long time, but you have gorgeous hair. I guess I'll need to learn this technique with Liza.

  5. Your hair looks just like mine! Usually putting mine in a bun gives me big curls, too! Loved the video- you did great! (and can you give me your eyelashes please?)

  11. Love this! I let my curls set in a bun after I blow dry , but I love the way you straighten your hair first. I need to try that! Do you ever get a hair band crease though?

btw, most professional looking hair tutorial ever 🙂

  13. Such a cute video, you're adorable and believe it or not but, I do this exact same thing!! Sometimes I don't even straighten and just blow dry, then do the separate twists into the bun and that works too except that makes my hair slightly more frizzy.

  14. This was better than most youtube beauty gurus hair tutorials! Found this blog a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love everything about it. You seem like a genuine person and have such great style and personality! Can't wait to see what you have coming up! Much love from Oregon!

  15. you are sooo cute! – great video! i love that you still get pretty curls without having to curl them. I'm always twisting my hair into a knot bun to get it off my face so I think this would definitely work for me!

  16. And here I thought you were using a curling iron this whole time! My hair is pretty thin and straight, so i have a hard time getting the curls to set. I basically do exactly what you did but with damp hair and then take the blow dryer and blast the bun with some heat. Putting my hair in a bun after taking a dip in the ocean and letting it air dry also gives it some nice waves. Give it a try while you're at the beach! Enjoy your vacation with your family =)

  17. This is genius. I am in no way shape or form capable of using a curling iron, so this is perfect!

Forever ago I asked how you did your hair, and I have been doing mine in almost the same way ever since you told me about the 'bun'. The twisty bun works the best.

PS I loved the video….I thought I had a lot of hair! You've got me beat by a lot! 😉

  34. I randomly stumbled across the video … and I used to do the same thing! Except, my curls would go flat by noon and then I just looked like a little girl who rolled out of bed with out brushing her hair! I try not to use too much hair spray on my hair, so any other suggestions would be great! Thank you so much for sharing!
