Furniture Re-do’s

Hey babes!
Ever since I moved into my apartment, I’ve been dying to take on some furniture DIYs. There are so many ways to turn plain furniture into gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces.
For instance, lately I’ve been seeing a lot of people take Ikea furniture and turn it into something amazing.
Some examples?
This white Ikea dresser gets a chic update with {O’verlays}, an easy way to add patterns to plain furniture:
After:
And this one blows my mind. Take an {ikea vittsjo shelf} and turn it into a gorgeous gold masterpiece with a little spray paint.
After:
I also love the idea of taking the {hemnes bookshelf} and adding wallpaper to the back wall. How chic is this?
After:
Sometimes my favorite pieces of furniture are the pieces that were once old… and made into new. Take a look at this ancient wooden dresser that’s transformed with a fresh coat of peacock blue paint:

After:
Simply gorgeous, right?
You can bet that I’ll be scouring the local thrift shops this weekend for some furniture in need of a good makeover!
What are your plans for the weekend?
Love, Cait

  4. I have a metal end table in my living room that I rescued from the curb, sanded it, and spray painted it. My bf bought me a glass top and its PERFECT now! A coat of paint can do wonders…and save you lots of money!
