Stuck in the Library

Hey all!

Whew! Today has been busy. I had a paper due this morning, lunched at KD, then headed to the J-school (what we call our journalism building) to produce a show for Carolina Week. Then I was inducted into the Journalism School’s National Honor Society. I did some more work before eating another tasty meal at my sorority house.

Tonight, I’m writing from a very isolated and lonely spot… my cubicle in the library! I’m surrounded by nothin’ but books. Don’t get me wrong, I love to read, but I don’t think anyone would wanna read the books I’m surrounded by (The Mississippi Quarterly, or American Edition of the British Encyclopedia? I don’t think so). Anyways, I have my first exam tomorrow, so since I’ll be doing this all night…

I decided to treat myself to a little something. Some new notecards and a pack of twenty fine-tipped Stabilo markers!
My friends think I’m the biggest dork, but I just LOVE school supplies! Nothing is better than going school supply shoppin’ at the beginning of the year. Pens, planners, markers, stickers, new binders.. you name it, I gotta have it. I am definitely a dork, but hey, I’m proud of it 8)
So tonight it’s just me and my Lilly pen, my new supplies, and a strawberry-flavored Fruit-2-O to help me study. And can’t forget about these little bad boys:
The only problem is that I keep thinking about summer! I’m looking forward to fresh fruit (and that means smoothies!), the beach, sleeping in late, reading lots of novels, not having any responsibilities, and getting a SUNTAN! Last summer was so much fun..

I can’t wait for this one! What are you looking forward to this summer?
Have a great night everyone!
Love, Caitlin

  3. I'm stuck in the library too, except I'm not being so productive because I'm catching up on blogs. Summer is on my mind too and I keep forgetting about this little things called finals. Whoops!

I'm assuming you're in the journalism school at UNC? My grandlittle just got accepted and will be transferring in the fall. She's great and I'm sure she would love meeting a new friend/sister. I'll have to email you her name and whatnot.

Good luck with all your work!
